So how do you know which words get circle or under line and highlighted and what color to use. And when to use arrows etc. that’s what I really want to learn. I don’t know when to use which mark and what color.

This is helpful when breaking down a small passage, but if you study the Bible as a series of small passages, you will lose the forest through the trees. I found that it is critical to start by reading the entire book you are studying. Do so without stopping to dig, but instead make notes about major themes. Then go back and start digging.
