Officially getting rid of all my backup brass channels. I recently had a big job, and I dropped and damaged one of my liq channels (an important size needed for the rest of the job). I brought out an old backup brass channel and the jobs speed and quality suffered so bad in comparison I'll never go back under any circumstances. I don't have backup channels other than Unger S and brass and that's changing now (these are quite old and when I've ever had to use them I'm a little more than annoyed, they stink). All liq from here on incase of damage again or not wanting to take the time to change rubbers on a jobsite, just go to my bucket and get a fresh channel.
By the way what are your go to rubbers? I've asked this before I'm sure. I tried the new Mo silver and for me it's too brittle in that it jumps more than any rubber I've ever used especially outside. Maybe I need to featherweight it more when using? Currently I found Mo plain black soft or hard and Ettore are my favorite. The blue rubbers have improved drastically, I'm using those too. Unger green was good but doubt I'll buy them again even though they last a really long time, I just don't dig using them with the pole. Cheers, mentor!

What I have are backups. Everything I use, I have multiple backups. Poles, angle arms, hose, reels. handles, buckets. You never know when you will lose something, break something. You have a replacement as soon as something goes wrong. As for rubber, it's hit and miss most of the time. I've had some really nice blue and grey rubber, then when I get a new batch it's terrible. Most of the time Moerman black hard and soft is pretty good, works well but not always. It wears quicker. I've used some awful Ettore rubber. I bought a big batch years ago which I still have and it's shocking. Jumps all over the place, wont turn nicely. It always fluctuates, sometimes is good sometimes is not. I've used Pulex, Sorbo, Ettore, Unger, Moerman and more. All are compromised in qualities

@@polznbladz3242 This was my assumption from previous statements ya made plus personal experience. I guess go with what usually worked nicely but only buy a small batch at a time. Perhaps 3 "favorite" brands or types at a time to avoid epic pain and frustration. Thanks!!!!

@@stevai6732 Yes mate, buying different brands at a time might be a good call.

You have the time, you need the patience to practice with it. So many people give up. They wont and can't evolve, adapt & improve their skills and abilities. Use the TH-cam window cleaners as a reference and don't work how they work and you should be ok. I am still learning with it myself

So looks like your using the six inch fliq. This tool has save me sooo much time. I've had it for two months now and it's perfect of frenchies with a pole. Saves so much time and no need to fumble with the ladder on upper frenchies. Just a detail at the bottom of each pane with my towel on the pole. Windows 15ft high it gets kinda hard for me to see the work but below that, it's a breeze.

This one is 8" Fliq & channel. If you master this tool, it's game over for every other squeegee. Unfortunately, the word on the Yt street is this tool sucks...Has nothing to do with the people who try to use it. It's always the tools fault never the TH-camrs😀

@@polznbladz3242 so I assume you cut this channel to size, or do they sale an 8in there across the pond?

@@windowswashbasin I cut the channels and Fliqs to size. It's a very useful size to use in the UK for house windows. I have asked people to contact Moerman to ask for this size to be made. They don't listen to me a lot of the time but they might listen to others asking for this
