I love bretonnia as well could use some fixes. Norsca I keep hearing about a non chaos norscan lord that may be coming a reason for chaotic wastelands are now frozen. That could all be just talk but I like the idea.
I remember I have had a good Kislev campaign once, but it was quiet hard. And I also remember that while I was for a long time allied with Franz and Alarielle , i got to 333 or so turns before I stopped, mainly do to new patch, but around turn 250 or so and I could probably do something different I ended having to choose between Empire or the high elf, who to go to war with, if I choosed High elf or then I had a couple of turns until empire suddently did war to, if I did the oppsoite I would still be in war with High Elf ,but it would take longer, both do to distance, but also just in Turns. Either way Kislev can be hard because of the early game because your in so many wars, if you somehow manage to win them all and surivive you can get quiet decent economy. Vlad / Isabella also have the same problem with Kislev, Dwarf and the Empire and all can just get mad at you, again I had alot of tries until i finally with over 500 turns had a successful Vampire campaign. What kind of update do you want for Kislev? How does faction potential work?
Damn, just starting playing Kislev for the first time since launch and now I wish I'd waited. Although also been putting of Dwarfs and Empire since WH1 so I suppose they'd just be in the queue
it looks fairly normal for higher graphical settings to me. also seeing as they're playing on a pre-release version there probably aren't any mods currently updated to suit the version they're playing on.
Now if they can just fix Norsca, like give them a total rework to make them a faction that people remember existed. And somewhat change the Bretonnia peasant economy and change the vows to make them be automatic quests instead of having to specifically pick one. Cuz I guaranteed most of us thst play Bretonnia forget to select a vow after defeating a lord and you haft to do it again.
I kind of hope most if not all the races in the game at least get something new. Either is a rework like in Norsca case, or small tweaks to the mechanics, or just some few new units, or even new ll or lh or something. Norsca is one of those races I havent played , but that I been, yeah they look cool. And then I hear that there are in a so-so place it seems. Wulfric is character that i like , he seems cool. Throgg seems fine too. I am kind of hoping like with perhaps even Tomb Kings and Ogre kingdom at least, probably Khorne and Slannesh that we get two more ll. I am no expert on the matter, and havent played wh 1 or 2, but immortal empires in wh 3 is great. And from what i gathered there are a few choices same with heroes.
Fix the skill trees, the blue line for Brettonian lords is dogshit. The red line isn't much better with too many different types of troops to buff, combine a few maybe so all peasant units benefit from one boost apart from artillery.
I just started a Kathrina campaing pre DLC update and was already facing all those enemys in the north as you were talking about from turn 10 onwards. I am putting out fires non-stop and seeing that this chaos will only get worse with little benefits coming from it made me rethink my life choices lol.
damn that gives kislev more freedom to expand to north and not always focus to get everything fro vampires and drycha. There was no other way to support the armies to deal with all the attacks.
The whole point though is that Kislev is on the front lines so to speak, so being surrounded by enemies but with really strong units and great settlements is kind of the point in them
Only half agree with that. I agree that Kislev is the shield for the Empire against Chaos and the north. It shouldn't also potentially be backstabbed by 3 legendary lords from the south at the same time. The Empire should be dealing with southern threats, even if not totally.
We need more Bretonnia content now. They are a very powerful race but their factions are just very mediocre and they have a small roster that gets boring. A rework of the vow and chivalry mechanics would be nice.
I say just create a crusade mechanic that’s basically a waaag like a free spawning army that attacks a random settlement across the map that takes several turns to reach.
@@yof106 Sure there is material, but where is the information/guess that a Norsca rework/bug fixes would be coming with a Bretonnia DLC coming from? I suppose it's just speculation.
Malakai should help give Kit-Kat breathing room on Throgg. Throt and Azazel will probably still truck Kostaltyn (an unaided AI Kostaltyn at least), especially if neither of them go to war with that new Nurgle Faction in Lair of the Troll King. It'll definitely make rushing Ahzag and Drycha before turning around and rushing back for Throt a little bit less concerning without Throgg being quite as close on the horizon. Norsca being made into Frozen/Mountains throughout is so nice though. Don't have to worry about playing co-op campaigns with my Empire main friend and not having enough suitable climate territory cause he needs all of the empire and Norsca is half uninhabitable as Katarin.
Throgg is not a problem for Kislev 99% of the times. He usually gets busy either with Wulfric or with Azgaroth or even with both and leaves you alone. However for Katarin Azhag is a problem and needs solution early on. Kostaltyn kinda doesn't really have problems because killing Throt and Azazel in first 10 turns is fairly easy.
Aw man we lost an ancient minor faction in Kraka Drak. 😅 I do understand why it was done though. Hoping Kislev becomes a more enjoyable campaign as a result.
I've found that in a Katarin campaign you should deal with greenskins, wood elves and vampires first. Once you have secured your south border, you can go north.
Hey Costin, great coverage of the patch! Did you by any chance notice any changes in handling/ performance of units like the Empire War Wagons, Kislev War Sleds or other chariot types with with missiles? I was hoping that with all the background changes to missile units, they might improve handling and viability of those as well.
Whilst I'm not a language expert or anything (esp not on Slavic languages), "Key-slev" seems like a more resonable pronounciation. Afaik know in Russian (which I will take as reference for Kislev for obvious reason), the "I" Sound is stretched out, I assume it's similar for other Slavic languages.
@@blakeriley8546 I also looked into that, the ingame pronounciation is kinda all over the place tho. Katarin for instance tends to say "Kisslev" aswell (atleast to my ears)
As far as CA has stated numerous times to content creators: You can show off what goes in a normal campaign as long as it doesn't involve actually playing the DLC content. Besides people have shared where he started from the 16th!
They nerfed the old units because of the new units. Kislev was never considered particularly strong before the DLC, have fun playing the campaign now after their massive nerfs if you don't have the DLC. Removing Armor piercing from their standard units missiles is a massive nerf when you fight chaos warriors.
I am glad that the empire is stronger. I was tired of doing well in the north to get hit by Drycha and Vlad 40-60 turn in.
They need to fix Norsca as well. I know its not popular but it’s my favourite faction
It's not popular because they're not really fun to play right now except if you play SFO
Agreed.
As a Bretonia lover I'd like the little bugs to get fixed out.
It needs a rework to be unique and fun compared to warriors of chaos, who get them via vassals.
They promised a rework years ago and we are still waiting...

Malakai being in Kraka Drak is problematic if you want to play with Norse Dwaves (Kraka Drak) mod lol.
I'm sure people will find a solution for thta.
Maybe move them either to the middle of norsca territory or move them down south, close to the chaos dwarfs.
was thinking about this when i first saw where MM starts

A pleasant surprise. Now that Norsca isn't a Chaos Wasteland, maybe crusading into Norsca won't be such a pain in the arse after all. _Maybe._
