This gave me a - "Why am I in prison? It was self defense. - "Was killing the criminal, beating up his corpse, crucifying him and setting him on fire part of your 'self defense'?" vibe. I also like the tone you adopted to sound imposing but sassy at the same time.
I miss read the title and I thought it was:tempting to poison the guard for your freedom. Which would make a little interesting story if we want a evil or morally grey listener depending on the why and Circumstance but think I prefer this one over that hypothetical one.
