The 90s were the defining generation of humanity. Nothing will ever beat the 90s, hardcore, British music, and the last great youth movement before mobile phones arrived and altered the landscape forever. Nothing will ever again beat that feeling, when you're with your mates, coming up on dynamite MDMA, and walking into a rave where 6000 people who loon just like you all sticks their thumbs up, hug you in welcome, and celebrate the fact you're there... Nothing but love, peace and unity. Those days are gone, but these videos remind me of a better, purer world.
This is the first ever happy hard-core song I'd ever heard, I was 13/14 down a local park with 10 royals and a bottle of white lightning and one of the boys gave me a home made mix tape and this was the fist song on it, I stuck it in my Sony portable cassette player and raved liked it never raved before..... how I wish I could go back
a love that main drop on this song its just heavanly been around a long time and still makes me see the reason why i wanna make music the way it should be htid
Oh the memories!! This was the first record i ever bought and the beginning of my happy hardcore era! Amazing tune!!!!! Shame it got ruined several times x
I can't imagine how Hixxy could sit back satisfied he had created this thing. It has roughly, erm, about ZERO feeling and spawned such utter crap that followed.
I was generalizing. This tune was the death of breakbeat HHC. Opened the door to the more cheesy 4 to the floor kick drum sound. not clued up really are you ....I hope I have enlighted your evening.
Know my hardcore history? Son, I'm in my 30's. I was around when house evolved into breakbeat and evolved into Hardcore. I was there when the genre was born. Silly boy.
What a classic, I always enjoyed playing this and mixing it in with Now Is The Time & Motorway Madness, (otherwise known as Mountain King or Alton Tower’s Theme), It’s a pleasure to hear this original instrumental version without the vocals and the MC’ing, 🤪👍🏼
2020 in lockdown. Still a fucking banging chooon and still makes me want to eat Mitsubishi Turbos by the double drop. 🙌🏼 😬 🌝 🥶 #OneLove peeps and peepesses. 😌 🙃 🙂 🥰 ❤️ 🙏🏼 xx
I remember after a long day of playing some N64 and chilling with friends, we decided that night to sneak out to a little house rave which ended up turning into a HUGE fucking blunderbust of a party. This was the first song I heard as we entered the door and people where laughing, having a good time. Holy shit I wish I could've brought you all there, that was a magical fucking party haha
@GazzCrawford i didn't search it out. Was linked in a forum thread discussing when the real rave scene died when shit like this starting being produced.
Man this song, fuckin ace, remember gettin wan o the "big ens" to get you booze from tha shop...gettin oot your nut....gettin 1st dips on a wee durty behind the club house, haha, wow this brings back alot of memories, is a total classic, an ALWAYS will be! Get in there man :D
Yeah cant help but love this tune purely for memories but this was roundabout the time hardcore just stopped bieng HARDCORE!!! Too much cheese does not a good omelete make!
this kains the new stuff. new stuff very easily blends in with eachother and you think 'yes that was great' but you cant really pick out a particular song that was really good. with this kind of stuff you can think 'now THAT SONG was fuckin mint!' its more distinguishable
WHAT A TUNE!! search HTID 5 hixxy part 1 on youtube...another oldskool tune thats well worth a listen!! brought back loads of memories for me but needs naming !
