In the 60s my brothers & I went to a place to pick blackberries for grandma to make a cobbler. While we were picking a voice in the air started talking to us in a language we never heard before. We looked at each other, dropped our buckets and ran home with my 5 year old brother crying his eyes out. Those 3 buckets are probably still there today because we refused to pick berries again.

Thank you Mr. Laws! I used to do a lot of fishing and wandering in the NC woods and forests in my younger days. My family comes from Lumberton NC, and my mother would tell me stories about the swamps around there. She told me once that she saw a skunk ape when she was little. One of my favorite memories is the smell of the pine needles in the summer. The woods I spent so much time in were very old, and the pine needles were a foot deep most places. In the summer the sun would bake those needles and the smell of the pine resin was always so soothing. I'm almost 50 now but that smell still makes me feel good. In fact pine is my favorite wood to carve because of the smell and the memories. Thank you for posting a video that brought back some of those memories.
Mr. Donnie, you have the BEST stories - real lights-out kind of stories, which I just love; especially the Native ones, being that I'm partially of Cherokee blood. I do believe their spirits haunt those woods, just too many accounts by credible people. The activity you detailed in the beginning certainly sounds like sasquatch. I'd bet my last cent on it. I know for sure they are in there, always watching us. Always. But when they don't want you around, or they want to make themselves known, these are some of the telltale behaviors they engage in. I always say: "predators don't make themselves known." But it's usually best just to either move on, or speak out loud to them and let them know what you're doing (feeding your family, etc.). After that, they will normally leave you in peace. And always leave some fishes for them, too. Great story. Thank you for your time.
Thank you Mr. Laws! Keep em coming! I love going to my TH-cam and seeing you put up something new. It means I won't watch network TV and I end up happier. I say "shotgun shell baby!" when I find something or other around the house I been looking for. Your stories are a staple in my home and we adore you. As a bird watcher, I used to get way too aggravated by the squirrels always raiding my feeders no matter what type of so called squirrel proof feeder I could buy, it was nothing to them to hang upside down and devour my bird seed. The squirrels used to gripe my soul so bad I would take after them with a garden hose. But since watching As the Ridge Turns, I am at peace with the squirrels in my yard now. They are just trying to survive. I leave them be. And now, It's Time for the Squirrels..... Can't wait for your next video, we love you Mr. Laws!

Enjoyed the story. Here in NW Ga. it was rich in Native Americans, Indians as I've been raised to call em' and we've had water reservoirs built covering many settlements of Indians. Over the years there's stories of Indian spirits still watching over their forefathers. Never bothering anyone except the ones that destroy their heritage and lands they lived on. Stewards of the land reap the benefits they had to leave behind. Don't have Indian blood but I' am one of these Stewards. Love the outdoor and the animals. God Bless. NW ga.
That was a real good one my friend. When people cime across something like this they should say, I come in peace and mean you no harm. And say i respect and appreciate your culture. Can you help us to learn more anout this place? I think the spirits would be more relaxed. Take care my friend.😊
Thank you for sharing this video Donnie. It is sad that so many lives were lost on the Trail of Tears. It is a blemish on our country and those people need an apology from our government. God has not forgotten those who were buried along the trail.
The map made me smile because Blue Ridge was shown 😊 I spent probably a third of my childhood up there because that’s where my grandparents lived. (Snake Nation Road) lol. It’s almost unrecognizable now with all the tourist-y places. (Which is great for revenue and whatnot) I’m just so incredibly blessed and fortunate that I was old enough to remember what it looked like before all that.
@@donnielaws7020I’m getting to watch the video finally you need to come to my place and we’ll go to Dale Hollow Lake in the spring and we’ll drop lights off my poontoon and catch walleye and crappie. We set there at night shad come to the light and crappie and walleye follow the shad.
@@donnielaws7020 I should have mentioned that I was super impressed by the respect and honour you showed to the indigenous people of your country. That means a whole lot to me.
Back in 1968,I was dating a girl, who was full blood Cherokee. Her great grandma was still alive. She was 85. Born in Tenn. in 1883. She sat with us and told us many stories including those her great grandfather told her. He was born about 1813. Mostly just folklore? Maybe, but I did see and hear some strange things, when we went to visit her family in Tenn. I am from No.Georgia so have heard some stories also.
I use to walk down the road through the woods behind the house to the highway a mile away, every day, in middle TN. One evening, on the way home, I started hearing something following me about 10 yards off the road. I'd hear a twig snap, or leaves crunch. I never saw anything, but I don't walk that route any more!
I don’t need to watch ghost story videos when I’m about to start deer hunting soon.🤣 I like to fish at night. One time at night I stuck a piece of chewed bubblegum on my hook and caught a 2 pound catfish with it. Where can I get a copy of the Indian tribes map? I don’t really believe in ghosts, but I would never dispute someone who experienced something odd. We don’t know what’s out “there”. Enjoyed your video. Some really good editing and effects!
My family is from Ewing,VA. My great great grandfather Alwayne Chadwell was killed in front of a church in the Morgan Chadwell feud. Would love to know if you could come up with any history on this as I have hit a dead end. The story that I have is his killer came to his widows house and asked for forgiveness and she invited him in for Sunday dinner.
From the land of 10,000 lakes, I cant deny although most of those down there are primarily man made (ours are mostly glacial), their absolutely gorgeous!
My grand ma, cherokee, when we were little told us about the little people. Puckwudgies, a story we thought was made up to keep us out of the woods in the twilight. She said thats when they did their gardening, and if we went in the creek and they saw us they would turn us into turtles! She was a prospector for the last 20 years of her life Arizona, she carried a blue card and could go onto land whites couldn't. The stories she told us, we thought were tall tales. I'm almost 60 now and follow the old ways. NOW I understand why I act the way i do.
My GG grandmother was Cherokee and she escaped from the trail of tears...my GG grandfather found her living on berries in the woods she was 15 years old and lost all her family. Interesting point her named was America .
My brother married into a big dump trucking family. My sister in law (now deceased) use to tell me about going into the rock quarries with her dad and while waiting to get loaded (you would have to use the cb radio to call a huge payloader to come load you) there were these big giant piles of rock of all different sizes and on the sides of these piles she said alot of times faces would appear in the rock. She said they were just as plain as day.
Mr.Donnie.. I've known plenty of fisherman that had rocks thrown at them while fishing... some say it's boogers trying to chase you out... and they will make a racket snapping big old branches again, trying to scare you out
I don't worry much about spooks in the woods that we don't understand. It's the living I'm afraid of. Monsters are real and they walk amongst you. Maybe right beside you.
Even Jesus Christ accomplished spirits . In the book of Luke chapter 24 :36-39 . Where Jesus appeared to the Disciples after his death burial, and resurrection he said in verse 39 “ Behold my hands and feet , that it is I : handle me , and see ; for a spirit hath not flesh , and bone as ye see me have “. Thanks for sharing those old stories, my wife and I love every one of them .
Good morning sir. Thank you for the stories. Love hearing stories pertaining to our ancestors. Cherokee are a proud people and I'm glad to be part of that.

Stewards of the land reap the benefits they had to leave behind. Don't have Indian blood but I' am one of these Stewards. Love the outdoor and the animals. God Bless. NW ga.
Thank you so much my friend for sharing this. God bless you.
That was a real good one my friend. When people cime across something like this they should say, I come in peace and mean you no harm. And say i respect and appreciate your culture. Can you help us to learn more anout this place? I think the spirits would be more relaxed. Take care my friend.😊
That's so awesome my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you. Your very welcome.

Your very welcome my friend.
Thank you for sharing this video Donnie. It is sad that so many lives were lost on the Trail of Tears. It is a blemish on our country and those people need an apology from our government. God has not forgotten those who were buried along the trail.
Amen my friend. I agree. God bless you. Thanks for sharing this. Your very welcome.
The map made me smile because Blue Ridge was shown 😊
I spent probably a third of my childhood up there because that’s where my grandparents lived. (Snake Nation Road) lol.
It’s almost unrecognizable now with all the tourist-y places.
(Which is great for revenue and whatnot) I’m just so incredibly blessed and fortunate that I was old enough to remember what it looked like before all that.
Awesome my friend. Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless you.
Yes Donnie
Thank you friend.

Awesome my friend. Thank you so much.
@@donnielaws7020 I should have mentioned that I was super impressed by the respect and honour you showed to the indigenous people of your country. That means a whole lot to me.
Thank you friend. I appreciate that.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
I use to walk down the road through the woods behind the house to the highway a mile away, every day, in middle TN. One evening, on the way home, I started hearing something following me about 10 yards off the road. I'd hear a twig snap, or leaves crunch. I never saw anything, but I don't walk that route any more!
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend. Thanks so much. God bless you.
Good video ❤
Thank you friend.
Sounds like you ran across an ole wood Booger to me. Those red eyes was probably those ole wood boogers too.
Could be my friend. Thanks for sharing this.
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
From the land of 10,000 lakes, I cant deny although most of those down there are primarily man made (ours are mostly glacial), their absolutely gorgeous!
Awesome my friend. Thanks so much for sharing this.
WOW Thanks for sharing your story and memories my friend. God bless you.
Truth is stranger than fiction.
That's so true my friend.
Blessings to the Native Americans 😊😊
Amen my friend.
My GG grandmother was Cherokee and she escaped from the trail of tears...my GG grandfather found her living on berries in the woods she was 15 years old and lost all her family. Interesting point her named was America .
WOW that's so sad my friend. Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless you.
WOW that's amazing my friend. Thanks so much for sharing this. WOW!
🍂🍁🙋🙂
Mr.Donnie.. I've known plenty of fisherman that had rocks thrown at them while fishing... some say it's boogers trying to chase you out... and they will make a racket snapping big old branches again, trying to scare you out
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
Lots of things we can’t explain out there I’ve seen a few myself
WOW Thanks for sharing this my friend.
Morning my Freind
Good morning my friend.
I have learned that there are things in the wood that just can't be explained and better off left alone.
Amen my friend. Thanks for sharing.
How well I remember collecting bottles an taking them to A@P grocerie store to. Sell. An the smell if fresh coffee being ground to order
I love TN-when we go there and go through Cades Cove i just sit and think how many Indian's and settlers traveled across that land.

Donnie did you ever hunt Indian artifacts? If you did, then you should do one on it.
A little bit my friend. Thanks for sharing this.
I don't worry much about spooks in the woods that we don't understand. It's the living I'm afraid of. Monsters are real and they walk amongst you. Maybe right beside you.
That's so true my friend. Thanks for sharing this. God bless you.
Awesome my friend. God bless you for sharing this. Thanks so much. Your very welcome.
