I'm a musician. I spend lots of time perfecting my craft, performing, creating contacts and a professional product that I can market, that, being my music. I don't see why people comment on your extremely intriguing videos stating you don't have a life. This is clearly a hobby or craft you are exceptionally well at. Keep it up! Stuff is awesome. Also, this requires intelligence and an understanding of mathematics, geometry and physics clearly. THUMBS UP!
that's SICK! For my next ball tower, i am going to build it next to the walls and all around my room like that. i loved the part where you lit it up all of a sudden.
Two words: Holy fuck. I really envy people like you... I couldn't even begin to imagine where to START with a project like that, let alone finish one. Awesome job.
I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU CREATED SUCH A MASTERPIECE AND PEOPLE BASH IT. GREAT JOB! I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE MASTERPIECE THE BASHERS CREATE. "HEY LOOK MY TURD IS SO BIG, I THINK I WILL GLAZE IT AND PUT IT ON THE MANTLE!"
Great idea! I think the K'nex company might be interested in something like that. Though I would recommend instead of having a HUGE set like that, the set(s) could have like 7,000 to 10,000 pieces to be a little more affordable :)
@floris2burn I see what you are talking about, but I didn't really have the option of keeping the camera stationary. Since this ball machine covers all 4 walls of my room, there are very few locations for a tripod that can get a wide enough angle to see a complete track, so i was forced to try to chase the balls around. I tried to keep the movement slow, but some of the tracks just go too fast and cover too much distance, such as the track at 2:05. However, I did do some stationary shots at 3:22
Very impressive structure you got going here it reminds me of the ball contraption in a mall I usually visit, "The Salmon Run Mall', they have a pretty impressive ball contraption there as well. You should try setting up a ball contraption really, really big and put it on youtube here. I'd like to see it. Thumbs up dude, I like this video hopefully more videos like these are coming. If you have posted others sorry I missed those but I'll be sure to check them out. :D
The price wouldn't necessarily be a problem. K'nex did make a grandfather clock set for $900. As for size the company could make a ball machine design that can bend or fold so it can "mold" to the shape of the user's room, but I do believe that an idea like that is easier said then done :)
austron, i love the entire thing! vid should get so many more views!i was so amazed with it i watched all the way through and i barely ever watch ids all the way through! i reckon you should try to go for the world record for the biggest knex ball machine ever made! i reckon you'd get it. if you do decide to do this, good luck!
1) how long have you had this up 2) do you every plan to take it down 3) where the hell did you get this 4) do you turn it off 5) if you don't turn it off how much do you spend on batteries btw this is so freakin awesome
I watched your other video where you had the lift outside that connected the first floor to the second and the track ran through your house. I'm not sure how big your collection is but it would be interesting if each of the rooms were connected and each had elements running. Though of course that would probably interfere with everyone else you live with. :P
how do you not go insane with how many tries you had to take to get this just right? my god, i would have been locked in a padded room by the third week
Somebody said sick....??? How could creativity be sick? This is very very good stuff man! Will be famous on YT for sure! Just a question of time.... Keep on building!
I was completely mesmerized by this video. The sheer amount of talent and effort that went into this is pretty mind-boggling. On another note, I loved your choice of music! What's the name of the song?
Quite a contraption. I don't know how long it took to plan it, or if it was during the two months, but this is truly amazing! A question regarding a modification to this setup. Can you make it a continuous loop or is it only a single trip through? If it is only single, is there a way to make it a loop?
How do you get everything to fit together so cleanly? I try to put elements together and they're always so messy, and I just rely on chance that they work. Did you go through a lot of trial and error?
I used to love building with this stuff when I was younger but my dog destroyed most of it, but you sir, you are amazing! Keep building stuff!
I thought I was awesome for having the big ball factory and the roller coaster built at the same time... you, sir, are my new k'nex idol.
This is literally probably the coolest best thing i have ever seen on youtube no joke.
I could watch videos like this for hours. Truely amazing work.
This deserves Way more views considering all the work that was put into this

that's SICK! For my next ball tower, i am going to build it next to the walls and all around my room like that. i loved the part where you lit it up all of a sudden.

you would make an awesome architect!

Amazing, did u have any instructions. how long to make? have u destroyed it.
I was completely mesmerized by this video. The sheer amount of talent and effort that went into this is pretty mind-boggling.
