I went with a gear s3 Classic and I have an iPhone I’m limited to a lot of things but I love the Watch very much I always have my watch and phone on so the texting doesn’t bother me but not having Samsung pay it what makes me regret everything lol but that’s the only thing that bothers me but I love the watch and prefer it over the Apple Watch where I can always just pull my phone out to text and do other things

I can't wait for the full review since I am planning on buying this watch, it looks great and seems to be very good and versatile. One of the things I like the most is that if you're busy you can se who calls or texts you and then decide if you need to take the call or not without needing to pick up the phone.:) Like, if it's just a random guy trying to sell you something you can ignore it but if it's like your partner or maybe your boss you can answer. I love Samsungs products and this won't be an exception, at least I really don't think it will be.:D

Don I get it, you have no appreciation for quirkiness and much prefer the vanilla iteration of everything, but I'm not sure you needed to devote the time required to comment and divulge such things to us all. You may be better served via a Reddit thread if you require a version that's sans frill, sir. (It's not like the guy invested his own time to post this video in effort to sling some knowledge on your dome, free of charge, or anything right?)
speed is perfect, nothing worse than a slow tech video. there is always pause and reverse if one misses something. Love how practical your review is. Real world is where it's at. The remote camera function is amazing. Do they have the battery status because it's such a drain on the battery? Are they using Wifi for the connectivity, since Bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth for video. What kind of range can you get with the camera? I can think of all sorts of nasty things to do with a remote camera... it's the perfect spy setup. I imagine that the audio is also being recorded and possibly on the phone if you are doing a video, right? Imagine you are in a meeting/negotiation and excuse yourself to visit the restroom, but leave your phone on the table. Then when you're gone they start talking behind your back, since people always do. Possibly giving away their negotiation strategy or position! wow!

So no matter what time you leave work that day with a simple double click to your wrist your water is boiling and your front door is unlocked when you get home. I guess you could call an automated system for that as well. Thanks, nice addition to his tip.

+jsmilers Yep, every version has a GPS and you can use it for any type of travel (like getting directions to restaurant).You'll just need to install a maps app to use it. 👍I can't recommend a good app yet because I haven't tried any yet, though.
Hi. i wondered if you could explain about the call forwarding feature. and are there fees that you could get around. Is it best to have 2 #s or both the same for watch and phone?
That's a great video! Many thanks for the tips. I do have a question though, as you seem to have used the watch extensively.. Did you get the gps working in any other apps than SHealth? For example, installing a map app on the watch, and not having it accessing the phone gps, could you get a reading? Mine only gets gps reading in S Health, and no other apps will use the watch GPS. Would be very interested to know if anyone else has this issue?

Finally got my watch on Verizon...watched a bunch of app reviews... yours is the best so far, nice job and ty. Got that camera app! I really needed a better solution for the camera timer...Idk why Samsung removed the timer from the main camera screen and put it in the menu, so annoying having to go into the menu to turn it on and off vs just tapping on the main screen like with the flash for on/off/auto...
Question. In standalone mode, how do you get rid of the watch icon that appears at the 12 position? It's pretty annoying because it's invasive and serves no purpose apart from telling you that your watch is not connected by WiFi or Bluetooth.
One question about it though, What about replacing the battery after using it, say for 3 years?? This is one of avoided questions (I have never seen people even mentioning it on the internet) as most of people tend to change/replace their old tech every 2-3 years. But this here, is basically a "watch"!!! It should be at least kept 4-5 years. Also one hell of a watch!!!
Nice video, just wondering if maybe it got cut off because none of these are hidden features at all. Like touch sensitivity - it's visible on the screen when you go to power it down. And all of the other "hidden" features are available in the settings throughout the phone. Better title would be "useful features"
I was keen on using this in my motorcycle. But It doesn't have turn by turn navigation. Btw. Sometimes leather can work as well as your finger. As long as you let the gloves warm up to your body temp, the glass will think your leather is your skin.
Just got one of these from a co-worker. I gave him a pneumatic impact gun and he gave me the watch. Was just wondering how ling is the battery supposed to last. Usually I've been having to charge it every 2 days. Does that sound normal or does it need a new battery???
Damn this is a wealth of information, the triple tap is a great feature, in trouble, hurt heck even the worst possible scenario being abducted. Got one for Christmas and the more I play with it the more I'm loving it. Great watch.
I have one. I purchased it back in June 2018. It's good, but for the battery life. If you don't change the screen to plain black and turn off all the features, the battery dies in one day, maximum 1.5 days.
I'd probably put it on charge as soon as I wake up. I have one of the fast chargers, so it should only take an hour to charge from completely dead, if it's anything like my phone.
Seymour Kitty My battery last at least 4 days, so I charge it overnight when it hit 25% or under. Every couple days. It is super fast too so if I'm chilling watching TV I'll put it on for a bit.
When you're in the shower. I can usually find a window of time every day or two where I can set it on the charger for long enough that it's no issue to not be wearing it for a little while.
+Ryzza5 Depends on the glove, the big one shown still gives me access to the watch when I tilt my wrist down, but there are definitely even larger gloves that'll stop you from being able to use it.
Just a quick question. If i leave the watch charging will it over charge the battery and potentially damage the battery? Or is the watch its self or charger provided smart enough stop charging once the watch is fully charged.
The emergency calls when triple clicking the home button is awesome. Women need this for when they go out and run. I keep hearing on the news of women getting snatched as they run or out alone.

For the sleep tracking; do you have to sleep with the watch on, or do you have to take it off before sleeping? I'm new at this.

and see album art in the background! i don't know why i like that feature but I do.

I was keen on using this in my motorcycle. But It doesn't have turn by turn navigation.
Btw. Sometimes leather can work as well as your finger. As long as you let the gloves warm up to your body temp, the glass will think your leather is your skin.

Just got one of these from a co-worker. I gave him a pneumatic impact gun and he gave me the watch.
Was just wondering how ling is the battery supposed to last.
Usually I've been having to charge it every 2 days.
Does that sound normal or does it need a new battery???

Is there a setting where I can use my tongue to switch apps? I’ve heard some watches can take a licking and keep on ticking.

Damn this is a wealth of information, the triple tap is a great feature, in trouble, hurt heck even the worst possible scenario being abducted. Got one for Christmas and the more I play with it the more I'm loving it. Great watch.

I have one. I purchased it back in June 2018. It's good, but for the battery life. If you don't change the screen to plain black and turn off all the features, the battery dies in one day, maximum 1.5 days.

I'd probably put it on charge as soon as I wake up. I have one of the fast chargers, so it should only take an hour to charge from completely dead, if it's anything like my phone.

Seymour Kitty My battery last at least 4 days, so I charge it overnight when it hit 25% or under. Every couple days. It is super fast too so if I'm chilling watching TV I'll put it on for a bit.
When you're in the shower.
I can usually find a window of time every day or two where I can set it on the charger for long enough that it's no issue to not be wearing it for a little while.
Father's Day Gift. So far I'm impressed and way to active to keep up with a phone. Simplify my life already.

+Ryzza5 Depends on the glove, the big one shown still gives me access to the watch when I tilt my wrist down, but there are definitely even larger gloves that'll stop you from being able to use it.

Just a quick question. If i leave the watch charging will it over charge the battery and potentially damage the battery? Or is the watch its self or charger provided smart enough stop charging once the watch is fully charged.
