I'm enjoying this refurb. I can amost smell that stale petrol every time you mention it! I recently bought a 2005 1200GS, with 25k on the clock which had been under a tarp in a garden ... "for a couple of years"... in other words, since just before lockdown! So far, new starter, new battery, replaced the gaiters on the drive shaft, filters, oil, plugs, valve clearance. Tyres are waiting at a mates garage, with those on I should be able to MOT it and the fun will begin!
There’s always more to do isn’t there? I have to decide if I’m keeping it as if I do I’ll keep on improving, if not then I’ll just get it running nicely and sell in the Spring 🤷 Not decided yet.
