Great thoughts. I grew up in Thompson, Ohio in the 60's and hitch hiked to the drags every week end during the season. Brings back soooo many mammaries..I mean memories. These gassers were some of my very favs.
Grew up in Thompson and this was my FAVORITE hang out during the summer. Moved to North Madison and hitch hiked every Sunday back to see the races. Best memories ever from the summers of 1963 thru 1967.

I see a blue '56 Chevy running in AA/GS called "Blew-By-You" and at 7:30 on the time dial and down by the finish line I see something white up high floating in the air and blowing from screen right to screen left... was that something the crew did to make a "Blew-By-You" PR statement or just some debris...?
