Personally I disagree. If they woulda said, This is Norman, he used to open for Jerry. It woulda gave Larry something to work with. He mighta been like, Oh great another comic Jerry’s gonna take credit for. And Mark coulda been like, Take credit? He took my virginity. They take the picture then Mark leaves. But now he’s leaving feeling like he got a joke off in front Larry. Larry probably woulda of laughed, he’s not stingy with his laughs. Any one of the introduction facts Mark mentioned would of gave them both something to work with, at least long enough to make the picture together not so awkward
@@terrycullen3302 He made the distinction "as comedians". He's known for doing this cringe thing of acting like comedians are this higher more interesting being to non-comics. It's lame.
What this reminds me of: Season 1 of Curb- the neighbor wants to meet Julia Louis-Dreyfus in exchange for signing off on getting the wire moved in their backyard, and Larry asks Julia to help with the favor. Julia is pissed at the neighbor for missing the first time she was supposed to meet him, and she leaves shortly after. Larry tries to spin it- “You met Julia!!” And the neighbor had a nightmarish encounter with her, so it was worse than not meeting her.
All he had to do was explain to Larry that he's a comedian that opens for Jerry & it wouldn’t have been so awkward. He made it awkward by not introducing himself & telling Larry who he was. Larry really likes Stand up comedians, so it's not like he would've rejected him or anything. Just open your freaking mouth & use your words like an adult. Its very very simple.

Gotta hand it to the comedy boom. These two are basically the same person. Plus they are way down on the totem pole to begin with. Still both making bank right now.
Larry was probably like ‘Who’s this nervous asshole that cant look me in the eye?’
This is the adult version of when we were kids, u tell your friend you're hungry & then he yells, "Hey Mom, Mark is hungry!"
Moral of the Story - never accommodate the agents of your Idols
Heads need to roll. That agent did Mark dirty
I can see Larry joining em on the podcast after this video
I cannot
Nah
Not a chance
Tell me you don’t know who Larry David is without telling me you don’t know who Larry David is
I can see Larry seeing this clip and completely seeing through both of them and then shedding a tear for the sad state of comedy.
The fact that Sam since posted a way better picture of himself and Larry makes this extra painful.
The Curb episode is “The Wire”. Larry is Julia Louis Dreyfus and Mark unfairly ended up as the dickhead neighbour who wanted to meet her… 😂
This is how we feel when we meet you guys 😂
Being intimidated by Mark Normand is beyond pathetic, bro. Rethink your life choices. It's not too late.

Get Larry on the pod 2025!

I feel like Sam is that awesome friend who always has your back.
Yes. He is.
To be fair to mark, a great introduction probably wouldnt have changed the encounter all that much

You should get back on your meds. You just created a whole fictional scenario in your mind, with bad jokes to boot.
@@IdontKnow-gm7eu I made that scenario up? No way, wow! Thank god you told me that or I wouldn’t have known
mark was the guy in the episode who wanted to meet julia louis dreyfuss..
Norman coming in Larry's dressing room like Jerry Lewis..👊🏼
I like how humble and open mark is
Mark was in his head too much 😂
Saw Morril at Larry David's show in Austin. Noticed him in the noisy lobby and loudly said Hello....nothing.
What a shmuck
Yeah you probably sounded annoying though

Does he think non-comics don't tell embarrassing stories for fun?
Comics are such pretentious dorks.
Nah I think he meant more like this is a good story to tell on their material, something to be funny about which is their profession
They really have become insufferable. Podcasting made them but is slowly destroying them. Hilarious that they’re doing it to themselves.
He's just speaking as a comedian, I don't get the hostility here.

Man, who cares
The agent didn't offer you the professional courtesy (the key phrase) that Larry David would have meant to extend to you.
Larry knew that Mark doesn’t respect wood.
