Robert, Your rig is awesome! Nice walk around. I have the same return filter on Grampa's Jeep. Someone told me once that putting the return line to the top makes it less likely to push vapor to the carb, instead pushing the vapor to the return line and tank. Your's seems to be working fine as it is, but just something to keep in mind.
Excellent description. Thank you for taking the time to highlight your Jeep. I watch a lot of the Vintage Jeep runs on You Tube. I always wondered what size Tyres the Jeep were running.
Looks like a jeep, sounds like a jeep, I can honestly smell that flathead exhaust. It must be a jeep! I've got the same dash, but a one piece windshield. I'd love to get a 2, but I love my good little 3A. We call it PutPut for obvious reasons. I love seeing these around, thank you for sharing this!
Nice rig! I also have a 46 2a... put the Brennan conversion on for the brakes, they work great. Also run the exact same tire setup.Frame off, Every nut and bolt touched but left the body in the patina.... I did modify my intake to fit the 2 barrel carter.... made a pretty good difference....
Hello Robert- Great cj2a! I just obtained one Im working on a few days ago. I like what you've done to her, looks very functional. BTW Im looking for a draw bar if you want to get rid of that one! -jim overstreet
Love your jeep and what you’ve done with it. We think alike. There are enough restored units in the world. Not just here, but in countries all over the world. My thinking is that a jeep like yours, still doing yeoman’s duty are just as much a testament to one of the greatest tools of WWII, Korea, etc. Over time, I’m sure you’ll make improvements like floors, but at your own pace. I also like the rat rod style paint job you have. A coat of satin clear coat here and there might improve rust protection? No pretensions. Just a working masterpiece‼️😍🍀🍀 Ps I also like the tall but narrow tires. Those big tires create a lot of drag. There’s a reason Model T’s made good all-weather vehicles⁉️😁👍🏻
Your jeep may be a vec or early 2a. I have a 45 and have the same grill and marker lights. My jeep got the axe and shovel tub from the mb/gpw and has a few other war time parts. I have a 5 digit seriel number 119XX
Armstrong made a tier with the same Lug pattern as the tiers in this video. they were named "True Track. I had a set of them on my 2A, size 11.5x32 15. they were pretty good in the mush and snow. I had Powr Lockers front and rear.
nice jeep. and winch... am I the only person who calls their jeep a-----WILLIS??? been around them here in Texas for 74 years, we alway pronounced it WILLIS, not willies... but willie is a great singer.
@@grandpacheaposgarage2964 awesome!! That is what I was thinking about doing with mine. The box is tight, and linkage is good. I would be interested if you do and East coast go devil run.
@@cmac956 He only mentioned "CJ5" twice; at 06:54 while referring to the tailgate which is of a type not used until 1969 (AMC) with the large 'JEEP' stamped center panel and at 11:09 referring to the 'spin on' type oil filter of "later CJs".
One of the greatest 4x4 ever created.
Now, THAT is what a "Real Jeep" is all about!!
That’s a sweet little rig there!

It's beautiful. A work of art. Most people wouldn't understand. ;)

Yes it’s still using the stock bellcrank.
