Beno, I'm glad you're uploading after everything you're going through. You don't deserve this but whatever youre going through I just hope you know you're really an outstanding and amazing person. I'm so happy i found your videos and I love your voice it's like 10/10
The first lift is actually a 70s Marryat & Scott which got modernised into a KONE TMS and now it does have Dewhurst but still has the TMS logic! Sadly it's abandoned and has been switched off for months
found the website for the male/female voices of the Stentorgate voice board, plus the PDF file for the rest of the messages on the board. -> www.stentorgate.co.uk/website%20copy%2014-10-15/speech%20main.html -> www.stentorgate.co.uk/website%20copy%2014-10-15/speech%20pages%20cat2003.pdf
I have never looked into Stentorgate much. I never knew it had so many messages. That is a crazy amount and some of them would be very rarely used. I find Stentorgates voices so boring. She sounds like she thoroughly hates her job as a voice actor.
Beno Lifts the female one sounded like a man to me, i heard this voice for a long time, so i couldn’t figure out which voice board it came from until this video showed up.
@@benolifts Did you ride any Go North East busses while in Newcastle? They're definitely worth a ride, they have a very much wrightbus sided fleet, but the Voltras (electric busses) and the interiors (in alot of busses) are fitted with wireless charging, wifi etc. I do love the company and definitely worth having a ride if you're in the area!
Those fire exits, aren’t they annaully inspected by the fire department? In the netherlands certain kinds of buildings like schools, hospitals and hotel require a usage permit in order to operate them. A usage permit usually goes with rather strict fire safety plans and the fire brigade also enforces the fire safety measurements. A fire exit like that shouldn’t be considered a fire exit anymore until it is fixed.
As far as I know, in the UK it is down to the building owner to make sure everything is correct. They do a fire audit and make a fire plan with the fire brigade, but this is not a yearly thing.
You should come and check out the lifts in Ikea Reading, they are always going wrong and people are getting stuck in them, a mechanic was crushed to death by one of the lifts there a couple of years ago.
Nothing beats eating dinner while watching a 20 minute long Beno lift adventure video.
Damn right.
Heck yeah!

It's been 8 years since you were at The Elden Square Shopping Centre in Newcastle (The Maze) as you called it by that time.
Always wanted to go to Newcastle and also ride on the Tyne and Wear Metro.
It’s nice to see you in my home
I‘d expect much better from a Premier Inn. Premier Inn’s are supposed to be better than a Travelodge, but that one makes Travelodges look posh
What’s your favourite kind of of ecodisc
Do you have videos from the tower blocks in Newcastle? If so, how many?
I didn't manage to get in any in Newcastle
Byker Wall is incredibly interesting, if you return i'd highly recommend visiting. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byker_Wall
The lifts are 1970s Otis, and 1970s Pickerings. Pickerings in the smaller buildings.
Those Oronas in the Premier Inn most likely replaced some derelict 60s Otis elevators from the looks of the other abandoned installs.
That is at Eldon Square Shopping Centre.
1:10 is that the old kone M series indicator bodged into the new generic logic?
I'm sure that Premier Inn's now been refurbished. I used to walk past that on my way to work.

Is there a part 2?
Do you see at 9:32 that the last light turns on
