During RedSpeedoTraveller's latest Mexican adventure we decided to visit Barcelo Vallarta. We had a great vacation in 2022 at Barcelo Maya Resort Near Cancun. Well… its not the best place. Food is ok. Rooms are nice, beach is ok, but lots of local sales people.. not sure.. i’ve certainly stayed at better. Barcelo’s Maya resort near Cancun is much better!!

Put it this way. I wont go back to that one (Barcelo Vallarta) but will go back to Barcelo Maya.

Presentation was bad… food was not hot, which is worrisome, and food generally was very bland in taste/flavour. I mean you can eat it.. but the local restaurants in Puerto Vallarta are much better than this resort. Not all Barcelo’s are as such.. just this one. Barcelo Maya food was fantastic.. here not so much!
I suspect they have a staffing issue. Not enough talented people.

@@RuckusOutfitters well i hope you have better luck! Never know i may have been there during an off week! But it turned me off that place. Barcelo Maya Resort i will go back, but not here.

The food here is beyond disgusting. This place poisoned my family so severely my 6 year old had to get emergency IV fluid and is still suffering from constant nausea and diarrhea. All 5 of us got EColi from this place.
