Here’s some roller shots we took before installing the carbon fiber lip ! We got this from ikon motor sports and we are very happy with the fitment and quality of this item. Here's a detailed walkaround and review of the Tesla with the new carbon fiber lip.

Also.. check out the smoked out look projector headlights on this Model Y Performance model. Hopefully there will be a software update to make them adaptive headlights.
just bought the same one. One thing I want to mention is you guys need a drill 9/32 inch to make holes bigger. The holes on the lip are really small and tight (I think the size of the original hole in the lip would be 1/4 or less) so the OEM clips don't fit. Also the lip is already prepared with 3M double-sided tapes so only thing you need is prep wipes to clean the surface of the bumper and 3m adhesion promoters. Definitely two ppl job unless you have your own ramps to lift a bit. It is super light weight!

I think the vent extension is a bit much. Starts to look a little too modded. The lower lip tho is just right. I think I’ll get it when I get mine. Be nice to see the MYP with it on the road.
Yes the extensions on top of the lights will need more mods to fIt in properly with the look. I really like the current setup now .. thanks for watching 👍
Ahhhhhh here we go! I commented before on your other video showing the spoiler about this carbon fiber lip because it looked so cool. I didn’t know you had this video actually showing the install of it. Absolutely love it. Its subtle and not too aggressive so to speak. Perfect fit, really sporty. Definitely gotta get this. Nice! 👍🏽
This really looks so cool guys. I’m used to the other that has space/gap for air venting/deflection which goes a bit lower , kinda diminishing the ground clearance but his feels like stock. It’s like this how how a MYP was meant to be. Nice job 👍

They’re by ikon motorsports but they’re sold out. Try emailing them to be put on a wait list if they have one
Just 3m and using the original factory holes with the push screw pins. You can use longer ones for more stability but no drilling on the car. But ikon is sold out currently I believe
I thought red is a cool color then saw several red module Y from 2021 & 2022. I immediately switched to deep blue metallic. Remember it’s plain red not metallic red. So shine goes down hill super quick unless you’re prepared to put 4k more on warp

Be careful with these spoilers. You must have air shocks or you are asking for big trouble. Hit a bump. Hit a berm, in heavy snow and you may be facing an expensive repair. and the jury is out on the effect it will have on your cars ride, feel, range, etc. I have a 2016 S and bought it when it was three years old. I knew nothing about Teslas at that time. Someone had turned off the warning chimes and the bottom of the facia hit one of those concrete parking berms. Yikes. Cost me 5.000 to repair it. After that I was very sensitive about that happening again. Found out I had no air shocks to, to raise the care pre emptively so I had to be real careful and guess what, the chimes were not 100 percent effective and I was lucky this didnt happen again. A front camera down below is a great idea and would recommend this strongly if you mount one of these spoilers.
I'm so mad I missed out and can't get the one you have...The new ones look even more aggressive and come in 3pcs. But hey thank you for showing us the way a lip should look on the Y!
Ya I noticed they no longer sell it anymore. They actually had like 10-15 available then I posted this video and they sold out right away lol. I’m surprised they haven’t restocked on those. I got it for $360 and I noticed they also raised it to $455 when they noticed the demand

This looks like it gives better ground clearance than most lips for the Y.

Looks amazing, so all the holes under the car line up and no new holes have to be drilled? Did you use the original plastic clips or did you buy longer ones? Thinking of putting one on my Model y performance when I receive in 2 to 4 months hopefully.
I used longer push pins to hold it up.
Where and what size pins did you use? I'm going to pull the trigger on this.
How is the lip holding up?
They should make it to where the side is not as low so it doesnt lose too much clearance for when parking and so that it matches up with the stock side skirt panels.
Yes I get what your saying. There are a lot of people also that want a lower look on the front especially for a performance car. The manufacturers should make an option for the people that want more of stock look but I think the demand is just not there for them to make it.
@@MTXSE26 Yea if the manufacturer gave option that would be great because then customer's wouldn't have to try to buy matching side skirts to make it look even. I think it looks a little off with only front lip being low.

The lip is on the Ikon website when available however they have been sold out for awhile now. Just check once in awhile and they put it back up when it’s in stock. I saw it under the model y section. Carbon fiber lip

Does this come in a matte version?
Love this lip, I have the same one, however one of my headlight LEDs died, but to replace it, they have to remove the front bumper. Any idea if the bumper can be removed without having to remove the lip altogether? Mine is attached the same way as yours with the stock screws and 3M tape.
I’m not sure to be honest but I think you to since to take off the bumper you’ll need to take off the push pins on the bottom so that will remove the lip also

The one for the model 3 won’t fit. They should have one soon for the y .. the company was out of stock for a bit

I can’t find the link anymore but it was on eBay and Amazon before. Seller was ikon Motorsports. They also have a website you can check. When it was available it was about $380-$560 price always changed

I had to drill a couple tapper screws on the bottom for extra support

No drilling in the car but it will require drilling on the actual lip to make it fit the factory holes

I used stronger Vhb 3m tape and used my own hardware as well. The ones that came with it weren’t ideal for the install I did

THANKS for this YT POST of yours.. i was able to order and received the same kind of front lip from ikon motorsport..it didnt have an intallation instruction and it came with a long screws and tape.. i know you didnt use the long screws that came with it. can you please share the hardwares that you used. TIA
@@gbk-947 we used longer push pins to replace the factory ones. Take off one of the factory ones and get a longer one similar to that and you can use those to secure the lip
