Of course Skyline Raiders are DISD and an area and Texas force to be reckoned with. However, they have only made if to the State Semi Finals. Which is also something to be proud of as well in my opinion.
Coach Samples couldn't get pass Allen and Kyler Murray unfortunately lol His coaching lost them the games same way the coaching losing the game vs North Shore
@@youngtrill9745the Galena Park game was settled on the field by the young men players . Congrats to both the Champions and the State finalist: However. unlike coach Samples' game (as Skyline's headcoach)against Southlake Carroll 2013 wherein he had to face the referees (declaring an 8 yard onside kick as good as 10) , keeping it close for them 'boys from the burbs', along with a real fox was turned loose on the field (go see the game film) by a Southlake parent. Hey. No Worries. As God will have it, we rarely see any of them boys from the burbs on NFL draft night or Heisman finalist these days . So let the UIL trap setters, game fixers and those who consider the pageantry of Texas Highschool football championships a part of their property values do what they will. Peace ✊🏽🏈
@@samaiyalaadam6041 no it wasn't settled by the players. Did you watch the games everytime they played? And btw I went to Skyline graduated in 2013. His son rashaad one of my bestfriends since middle school. I was at all the games, Southlake was one incident. But the game shouldn't have even been that close in the first place. Samples is all offense, running the same plays. We ran the same plays at Lang our middle school that went to Skyline. And DBs has always been the problems. Once we faced a good passing team the game was lost.
If it weren't for the Dallas Carter team that played with ineligible players/eventual robbery convicts against Converse Judson they would've won the Title back in the 80's. The UIL overturned the outcome of the game. Tell me I'm wrong.
But let's not forget that in 1966, Al Bundy scored four touchdowns in a single game while playing for the Polk High School Panthers in the 1966 city championship game versus Andrew Johnson High School, including the game-winning touchdown in the final seconds against his old nemesis, Bubba "Spare Tire" Dixon.
In 1988 David W. Carter High School athletes' onfield talent and ability defeated Converse, TX Judson fairly and squarely. No performance enhancing drugs, (Odessa Permian) no over-age players(Highland Park in the 80s), no out of state recruitment (Southlake Caroll). Off the field shenanigans caught the attention of the UIL one of the most racist organizations in Texas. Players of African decent were no officially allowed to play In the UIL until 1970. Before, that African Americans played under the PVIL. Hail Carter High Cheer for the Red and Blue!
@@samaiyalaadam6041 Most definitely they were elite level players, and undoubtedly one of the best High School football teams of all time in the US. Aside from the UIL/Ineligible scandal, it’s a damn shame a couple of them decided to go down a dark path and catch felonies. I like that you know about the steroid issue with Permian and the out of state recruitment with SLC. So many people just brush that aside as if it’s nothing. Gawsh, I’m so happy and proud of the SOC men that played with everything they got. They fought through Oakcliff’s high COVID rate, low income upbringing, and many other obstacles. I’m a boxing fan, and the SOC men remind me of Jack Johnson, Johnny Tapia, and other legends that overcame so much. Look at how Nick Diaz (MMA/UFC) received such a harsh and ridiculous punishment for smoking marijuana (I don’t use Marijuana just FYI), yet guys like Anderson Silva and Jon Jones get a slap on the wrist when they get caught for PED’s.
Bad thing about all this!? UIL will investigate and find out that half of the football team is not eligible to play(failing grades)just like in o5 and o6 when teachers were caught changing grades!!!
Sounds like y’all just don’t think they can be smart enough to get good grades. Basically if you lack hope in yourself don’t project it on this team that’s making a positive turn for oackliff

"eventual robbery convicts". LMAO

They won back to back titles looks like everyone was eligible lmaooo
