    I admire your teaching. Did a super job explaining. The only problem I have is to copy the description of a pattern. Just need a written or description on how to make it when reading the direction. How can I print it out? Can you please help me with that. Again, just want to print it out. Thank you and thanks for sharing.

    • @CreativeGrandma
      @CreativeGrandma  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usha, Yes it is mulitples of 8 to make it larger, so example 80, 88, 96, etc. Have fun crocheting

  • @robinbeeman2629
    @robinbeeman2629 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    When chaining you said multiple of 8. So after sc in first you should have the same multiple of 8 or 1 less sc? I’m really having trouble getting my triple crochets to line up. Making an afghan with 80 sc and ending up with 79 sc. is that right?

    Can you please show how to do the Apache tear pattern. Thank you .

  • @sherryredd2854
    @sherryredd2854 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can you achieve the same results of the brick stitch if you only go under the first loop of each for the single crochets?

  • @tracieholladay438
    @tracieholladay438 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    I've tried doing a pattern similar to this called Apache Tears. It does involve sc rows and then working dc into the front loops on the sc row 2 rows below. My problem is this: my work always curls like a scroll. How can I prevent the curling? Using a bigger hook isn't much help. I notice when you work your tr you didn't pull the yarn up high to match the height of the row from where you worked your stitch. How does this not curl? What is this sorcery?

    Hi, I want to make crochet lap afghans for the elderly. What stitch and size(fast and easy) do you recommend.Thank you in advance. Mary

    • @CreativeGrandma
      @CreativeGrandma  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Mary, I recommend the BLOCK by Block Stitch Pattern as it is double crochet and works up fast with one row double crochet and one row single crochet. This pattern is mostly all single crochet and is more time consuming. The standard size for a lap afghan is 36 x 48 inches. Please go back to youtube and look under my Stitch of the Week Section and you will find the Block by Block Stitch pattern. I hope this helps. Have fun crocheting.
