  • Like many landowners I am having to fell ash trees in higher risk areas. The timber feeds my log business so it needs to be felled before the sap rises. With all the wet weather over the winter felling has been delayed so now is the time to press on. Also with the rising sap comes thoughts of building a new shed - it is a basic human right to have decent sheds, isn't it?

Transport boxes are a great invention... Put fence posts in, electric wire, barb wire, tools.. Great video.. 🚜💯🚜

Thank you. The transport box is probably the most used piece of kit. I got one with the hydraulic tipping which is great for transporting and delivering hay and logs. I also used it to build all the hardcore tracks. As you say, when you go out to do a job everything goes in it.

grate video you should have a look in to useing ibcs cages for logs and we leave some of the tops of the plastic of the ibc on so it stays dry out side

Thank you. The IBCs is a good suggestion. Previously I have been able to stack enough of those vented bags in the shed to keep customers supplied but the demand this winter doubled due to people being at home. Some bags will need to be outside this summer if I am going to come close to matching that demand again. This might be the last busy year though because of the regulations regarding max 20% moisture content if selling less than 2 cube of logs at a time. Not too sure what to do at the moment.
