I can't believe Jungkook covered this song when he was just 17. Adam Levine's original version sounds like the song of a wise middle-aged man who went through many struggles in life. JK's version feels like a youth himself is singing to the youth. Both versions are beautiful in a different way. But I don't know why, from JK's version I feel a little bit of pain despite his soothing voice. Maybe it's because I love him so much.

I felt pain in JK's version, too. Tears in my eyes.....He watched the movie 'BEGIN AGAIN' on September 2014 (with Jimin? not sure), then October 2015 he covered Lost Stars...So I think this song must mean a lot that made him still want to cover it after a year. (plus he was not that good at English at that time, so he must work very hard for it.)

Unrelated to this song but I just want to say something: so many people like to hate on BTS and say they're just another shallow boyband and that people only like them because they're cute boys, but these people are the ones that make it very hard for teenagers (who make up a large percentage of BTS' fanbase) too feel accepted and loved. BTS have always fought for the world's youth and are aware of the mental health pandemic and unrealistic expectations that younger people deal with. They fight for us and connect with us and try to help us love ourselves. They don't condescend but rather interact with us like we're equals. a lot of people like to try and insult them by saying, "Ohh all their fans are just a bunch of teenagers." And yeah, a lot of us are and that's not a weakness. BTS is aware of their fanbase and they connect with us and fight for us as best as they can.

I used to hate them for no reason but mainly because of the diffeent reason but now I am obsessed with them they made my 2020 a good year, I just want to say sorry to them. So bad. But I am now an army so this is my apology. I have 4 albulms 3 posters a blanket and I just love them so much now.

JK’s cover of this song gave me lot of forgot in 2020 when my husband passed. Much more than the original, obviously. I finally, just recently tried to open up to another person and date since hun as soon as the new year started. The almost exactly 2 weeks, I realized I gave wayyy too much of myself, fell too hard, and opened myself more than I should have only to find him cheating on me physically before my eyes…not even an exaggeration- he saw me/made eye contact knew what I was seeing and he turned his back on me to walk down to her and leaving there in the dark crying and broken. this is so nostalgic to me, especially to my being a friend to a squad. before pandemic, my friends and i used to go to our house during lunch to eat with ease. we haven't had our internet back then so as youngsters who need music just anywhere anytime, I have downloaded mp3s and this jk version of "Lost Stars" always happen to play most of the time. according to them themselves, whenever this song is played, they always thought about those moments we're eating lunch together at my place. now, as nature works, the interactions are slowly getting less and less. but one thing is for sure, we're all still friends.
I used to fall asleep listening to this in middle school. I would cry in bed for hours listening to this on repeat. Thank you Jungkook and BTS for being the anchor I needed to continue living during those hard times

Man when I listen to this song, I can imagine Jungkook playing around with a little girl.
She wakes her up before the sun rises one morning as he has a flower crown on his head that looked like horns. The girl wakes up and looks at JK, he smiles at her. The girl then feels the horns on her head. "Oppa, why do you have horns on your head?" She asked. "Cause, me and the others are doing something special!" He said as he poked her nose. "Wanna see?" He asked as he offered his hand to her. The girl nodded and took his hand, they both then went outside of the room and out of the house. It was a beautiful sunrise as the girl let go of jk's hand and ran around while staying close to him.
Jungkook giggled at her as her horns shone in the sunlight while her long black hair followed her. She then followed Kookie towards a forest where flowers of every color bloomed with every step they took. The girl smiled at Jungkook as he smiled back at her, she then grabbed his hand again as they saw a white lion looking at them. Jungkook smiled at the lion as the young girl shivered in fear. "Hey it's alright, things aren't always what they seem Pan." He said. Pan then slightly looked at the lion still trembling, and to her surprise, the lion kissed a deer. She gasped quietly in shock but not to scare them off.
Jungkook chuckled a bit as Pandora sighed a bit of relief that the deer didn't get her bit off. They kept walking in the forest as Pan spun around, feeling as free as a bird. "Wow, she really is beautiful like this." Jungkook thought. The two of them then reached a large cliff, Kookie started climbing as Pan followed him. "Are we almost there oppa?" Asked Pan. "Yup!" Answered Kookie. They kept on going until Pan slipped on accident, Jungkook caught her in time but the gravity made him slip too. The scream that they made echoed throughout the whole forest as they fell, then out of the blue, two hands caught them. One was on Jungkook's arm while the other was on pan's.
"Don't worry, we've got you!" Said a familiar and deep voice. The hands pulled the two of them up where they were. Pandora panted and huffed in shock, but just glad that she and Kookie were alive. "Oh my gosh, are you two alright?!" Yelled a high-pitched voice. Pan picked her head up to see Tae and Jimin looking at them, they also had flower crowns on heads that looked like horns.
"Thanks Tae!" Said Jungkook as he got up. Jimin then helped the young girl to her feet as he rubbed her head gently. Pan blushed as Jimin smiled brightly at her. Once everyone calmed down from the whole trauma, they played together. Chasing each other, laughing and giggling, and even Jungkook spinning Pandora around. The four of them then laid down on the soft grass as Pan looked up at the blue sky. Jungkook then poked her on the nose as he chuckled at her.
"Hey, there's something I've wanted to give for a long time." He said. Pan curiously looked at Jungkook as he placed a flower crown of white lilies on her head, pan then smiled as Jimin sat up to look at the two. Taehyung rolled over and Tickled her stomach, the young girl laughed as Jk kissed her forehead. "Your a lot like us Pan, but we're like you too!" He said while giving her a warm smile.
