It's the labels and the main stream. They want cheap, shallow club bangers that'll make them a quick buck. Snow used to be on a major label and they wanted to make her another copy of that bullshit. But she got off the label and is making music her way and talking real shit. You want real rap, you have to go underground, there is a lot of rappers of substance who don't get the recognition they deserve.
I would put Sa-Roc at the same level as Snow. She has bars of substance and mind blowing rhyme schemes, and she's always representing her culture. Check her freestyle out on Bars on I-95. You will not be disappointed.
