The circumstance which brought the original orphaned herd from Zimbabwe was unfortunate and truly sad, but it brought them together to form a family, which subsequently became Jabulani herd. It is great that they have a beautiful and happy life now with each other, and that is because of HERD's great commitment to success for their beautiful mission. Thank you so much to Mrs. Lente Roode, Adine, and everyone at HERD. It is really a wonderful sight to see Fishan enjoying his swim in the water with his family. So happy to see majestic Fishan enjoying the 'center spot' with the family. Seeing Fishan happy and enjoying life always makes my day...
Fishan is such a magnificent elephant, and a beautiful example of why the work you all do in the HERD organization is so inspiring. His life was preserved through human efforts and by his own will to be healed. It’s a joy to see him living a good life with his adoptive family. ❤
Another superb video - Thank You Owen! A happy, healthy Herd who adore the water. I'm sure Fishan finds the water especially of comfort on the days his leg aches. He is a lovely, kindly bull who accepted losing his place in the hierarchy with grace. He is especially fond of the youngsters in the Herd and loves spending time with them 💙🐘💙🙏🙏

Has khanyisa grown gills? Lovely morning/afternoon swim. They're definitely enjoying themselves. What hideous monster would cull elephants? Why aren't they in prison? Elephants are a protected species.
Tragically, a culling operation will take 200 elephants from Zimbabwe to feed people left starving from drought. 💔 Earth needs triage: all life is dependent upon us humans. We are not helping enough in terms of climate emergency and those facing hunger in places affected the most. 15% of Americans, for example, do not believe that climate change is real, so the fight is also against ignorance.

While it's very said that the elephants were orphaned, it's wonderful that they were together as youngsters and formed a family. Fishan is so special; he might be the only elephant in the world to have survived a broken leg (with excellent vet and HERD care, of course!) I noticed one ellie on the bank. He/she seemed like a watch ellie to protect the herd while they were relaxing..am I just reading into it?..I have seen geese have one member keeping watch while they are feeding.. you can tell, head up, alertly turning and watching. Do ellies have this behavior?
Khanyisa is a sure a water baby diving under and wallowing around 🤣. I know elephants have long memories would they now suppressed them because of being so settled with which is now their HERD? That they have gelled so well together, and while Khanyisa was a real youngster they would sure surround her if they sensed danger or she got a fright was it a Rhino? They were there in no time. Just precious they have become a tight knit family💖👌
Just so beautiful out there begging their self i see khanyisa is having fun with her big sister Tamia they are just having so much fun love all of them and Adine and all of the caregivers 🎉😂😂😂❤❤🐘🐘🐘
I read Zimbabwe is about to cull 200 elephants, and hundreds of other wildlife to feed communities facing hunger due to severe drought. Will this cull of elephants result in more orphaned elephants, and will HERD be expecting new orphans as a result?
❤Setombe, Tokwe, Lundi, Fishan, Sebwake, Somopane, Bubi together for ever.....cute to see them babies....❤

I missed my morning "fix". Had to go to my 2nd job. So I am having an evening coffee "Fix"! Sip!
I love how Khanyisa just flops down in the water!
I noticed one ellie on the bank.
Leaves a smile on my face. 😊
I read Zimbabwe is about to cull 200 elephants, and hundreds of other wildlife to feed communities facing hunger due to severe drought. Will this cull of elephants result in more orphaned elephants, and will HERD be expecting new orphans as a result?
