Thank you! Just keep in mind, the closer you are to the paper the more of a bullseye you will get with the spray. The further back, the better the spray but that's also why I spray in a box lol
I also prefer the side folded A2 card base. I've tried the top (tent) fold and I've found that sometimes they sag after being displayed a while - even with really heavy cardstock. Absolutely love that you showed us how to use those Distress Spray inks!! I've had a couple for quite some time, but didn't have good luck with them because I wasn't drying the ink between colors! Thank you so much for this how-to video!! (I was very nervous when you added glue to the snowflakes right over your finished background! I would have probably dropped a big glob onto my work! LOL)
These are gorgeous. Simple and very effective. I struggle to get a smooth spray sometimes rather than a “bullseye”! Love your nails too. Happy Christmas
I'd use the panel with the transfer, cut with a decorative edge nesting die, inside the card as a writing panel. I often use darker card bases and like having a color coordinated panel inside that's light enough to write with regular pens. (When I use a white base, I often cut a frame in a print or color that coordinates with whatever's on the front.)
@@MindyEggenDesign I had never thought to do that... Now I have used my regular laminator to straighten out a watercolor background cause sometimes the paper can curl. I'll have to use my mini minc more!
So lovely Mindy. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This card is so easy that I could easily mass produce. You know I always dig your ideas 💡. Hugs and kisses my dear. Blessings to you and your family 👪
Do you think a laminator would work with parchment paper to work (in this case) to dry and flatten… this is a good idea, but I have a glimmer machine which doesn’t do the same thing lol
Thank you! This one actually isn't too bulky or heavy so I would just be using one Forever stamp. Others that have more bulk and dimension make take additional postage but always best to check with your local post office just in case. 😊
Mindy I love the mica spray looks but...I got them on my hands and I cannot get if off using, alcohol, polish remover, Dawn etc. Any idea what removes the stain from skin?
those would have been my top products to use to get them off. Any stains I get usually come off after a while. Kind of like alcohol inks, it may stain for a bit but eventually comes off. My hands are constantly in water so nothing lasts long for me.
Wow, those are gorgeous backgrounds!! Beautiful snowflakes too. So intricate. ❄️❄️❄️
Thank you so much!
Very cute! I love your spray pattern and the white space you left. 💙💙💙
Thank you! 😊
There should be a love icon for this video, Mindy! Gorgeous cards, so lovely for Christmas up north. TFSharing. 💙💜🤍💖 💌
Oh thank you! Hugs!
Gorgeous! At first I thought the background might be too dark but the pewter is magical!
Thank you so much! It really is! It's hard for me NOT to use it lol
So pretty! Thanks for sharing. I prefer side folding cards also. My top folding cards wouldn’t stand tall all the time.
Same here!

Thank you! yes, drying between layers is key otherwise all the colors just blend together - which can be pretty tool! ⭐️
Awesome cards Mindy!!
Glad you like them!

great idea!
Beautiful cards Mindy and neat trick using your Mini Minc machine, I have one too and I don't use it as much as I should! Shame! LOL!
Thanks so much! I use the mini minc to dry my ink blended backgrounds too sometimes - when I remember lol

Thanks Donna! Have a wonderful Holiday season friend!
So very pretty thank you
Thank you!
Gorgeous cards :) perfect timing too, I bought my first distress sprays not long ago so this is definitely on my “give it a try” list :) tfs :)
Wonderful! Have fun!
Love how easy this card is to pull together. They turned out beautifully. Thanks again for the awesome inspiration. ❄️💙💜
You are so welcome!
I love!
❤️
Would love to see what you do with that paper with the excess color from running through the Minc?
I have it saved 😊 too pretty to toss
Come on Mindy... you know i am weak and don't need to buy anything else...:)
haha!!
Beautiful cards! Do you think that the distress oxide sprays would be okay for this card? Thank you.
Yes, absolutely! they just won't be as vibrant
So would be ok if I sprayed my clear stamps with the distress mic stain ink and then put the sprayed stamp on paper.
Does it get all over clothing? Could I use glvoes so it doesn’t get all over my hands?
I have never tried so I unfortunately have no answer to that one
Do you think a laminator would work with parchment paper to work (in this case) to dry and flatten… this is a good idea, but I have a glimmer machine which doesn’t do the same thing lol
that is what the mini minc machine is - is a laminator so works perfectly :-)
Thank you!
Does the post office accept these heavier than commercial cards at the standard rate or do you have to use extra postage? Love your cards. Thank you
