I'm super hyped for this guy....I agree that at that time when he was introduced in the movie it was a stretch for sure....GI Joe has always been a bit si fi but like you said more grounded in reality until the whole Cobra La thing but if I were to keep anything from that movie it would be the Nemesis Imortal.....he's just menacing and cool and all in all the figure looks impressive I mean he had to be bigger than Serpentor right? He had to be creepy and huge and it looks like they nailed it
We get it Cobra La was too science fiction for the original Gi Joe fans from the early 80s. Stop your crying already. It’s all relative to what one likes. I personally love the Cobra La figures.
My Brother, I would like to point out G.I. Joe had an Eldridge Monster in an episode well before G.I. Joe the movie. It was the episode where we learned that Lady Jaye is distantly related to Destro. I seriousy want to get this figure, probably two so I can display both heads at the same time.
Good point bro Knightwolf! Awoooooo!! I think TV syndication being what it was back then, a lot of markets in Asia got the series episodes much later. I'm ok I think with a single regular episode or 2 incorporating overblown fantasy elements - but the Movie was like the main flag-bearer for the franchise and in many ways brought it screaming into a new universe of supernatural sci-fi horror while also rewriting a lot of the major series lore. Having said that, I'm going to rewatch that episode with Lady Jaye fighting ghosts and monsters again. Haha!
@@RetroToyEscapades lol. you should it's a classic episode. you don't often get a true damsel in distress episode with a series like GI Joe and here we got Lady Jaye in a long nightgown suspended over a pit with a tentacle monster coming out of a cauldron. lmao. I use to love the more ridiculous stories the original run of GI JOE did. Like the McGuffen Device or the one where Destro, Baroness, I think Lady Jaye and Flint were trapped on that island by the Arcade/Toyman type villain episodes. But they were a good occasional contrast for the more serious true run of the series and tend to stand out the most for me .... Also that Movie will always be a favorite of mine because it introduced my boy Tunnel Rat to the animated world.

I've been wanting a great Nemesis Enforcer figure for ages, but am quite upset that they made him so thick. He should be tall, not bulky, and I don't like all the extra armour they added and weird feet. I want him to look like the cartoon movie character. No sword sheaths. He should have retractable elbow blades, too. I'm underwhelmed.
It's a great time to be a classified series collector!

I hope Malaysia will receive a good amount of XH-1 Dragonfly. Planning to buy 2.
