    The most important thing that should be on everyone's mind currently should be to invest in different sources of income that doesn't depend on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in various stocks, Gold, silver and digital currencies. I never imagined that a few thousand dollars per month would add up. However, it is. I've made around $870,000 since 2020..........

      Before investing, I would highly recommend you to read a few books. Books like Common stock and uncommom profits and the intelligent investor. They will help you a lot

    If husband/wife purchase HDB before 35 as a single, then married with someone who already own a private condo. Will the HDB unit count as matrimonial asset or individual asset? Thanks

    • @StackedHomes
      @StackedHomes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm not sure what you mean by purchase HDB before 35 as a Single as that's not allowed unless through exceptional circumstances. Perhaps you could drop us an email at hello@stackedhomes.com to shed more light on your situation for us to clarify? Thanks!

      I think maybe the poster meant by if the married couple brought their own private property respectively before married, can the woman still:
      - get HDB with husband?
      - get the HDB matrimonial benefits from husband if the name is purely under his?

    Would like to share my experience for buying a private property under 35. I bought a dual key unit when i was 28, rented it out and continued staying with my parents. I met my husband when he was 35 and could buy a hdb flat on his own. So he bought the flat before our marriage and now we have 2 properties under our names.

    compare with HK&Shanghai, Singapore’s condo is with lower price almost half price, and with swimming pool and gym. Better quality and less cost, why not?

    • @StackedHomes
      @StackedHomes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yup! If you compare to HK and Shanghai, Singapore homes do cost less in general!

    gov need change their policies as alot of singaporeans are choosing to be single

      Perhaps over time they would :)

    • @Touyoujin
      @Touyoujin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the point, gov do not want Singaporeans to stay single, they want Singaporeans to make more babies and boost the population. It's either with the government or die as a homeless single.

    I think best is to think of strategy. What if you get married? what if you want to upgrade will i get a grant? What if i want to rent out the whole unit where should i stay? etc... list goes on. I think just think of what are you looking for too example me, i hope to live near bus interchaange and polyclinic to send my elders etc. Conclusion..... keep asking question to yourself. This is one huge move in life for singaporean hahhhhaa.

    After a year, one bedder pricing has stagnated..

      🤔

    • @520chris

      Not necessarily. My 1 bedder TOP 7 yrs ago now the price has only stagnanted within this year with volume dropped. But this is understandable give large supply of condo in the market this year.
      PSF diff since I first bought (new launch) till today is appreciation of $400psf. Not say fantastic but it is decent.
      Would urge singles or couples out there to buy 1 bedder to invest rather than wait for HDB.
      If you choose a good one it is still possible to make $100k-$200k appreciation if hold for 5-10years.

    What if a married couple eligible for HDB buys a BTO, which takes 4-6 years nowadays to be ready, and this couple divorces before flat is done? Will they, because they're single and under 35, lose custody of the home ownership by the government or do they just settle who owns the flat themselves in court?

    • @JAGProductionss
      @JAGProductionss 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      The flat is forfeited and it goes to the sale of balance units

    I bought a 1+1 private apartment , when I was 38 ( about 4 years ago, about 602 sq ft, my first apartment ). Kinda regretted that I should Get a 2 bedrooms apartment just by topping a bit more. ( stacked wasn’t on TH-cam yet). Really really regretted ….
