One of my favoites by Rich & Karen--what a voice she had, & what a genius her Bro. was, knowing how to arrange, orchestrate & produce their music. We miss you both. so very much!! Wolfsky9
Karen Carpenter was one of the most amazing voices of the planet. Well, sorry! She still is! Karen still lives in all her songs. I love her to death. AMAZING SONG, GREAT TUNE.
"Taken as a whole, the Carpenters recorded output makes up an oeuvre in which all pieces fit, in which daring adventurousness and taste have equal place." Simply superb!
Her story really affected me. My older sister was bulemic, so you can imagine how scared I was for her, especially when she landed herself in the hospital. She was such a beautiful, talented, young lady. Thank you so much for all those pictures. I can't even imagine how you put that together, but you did a wonderful job!
Karen could wear whatever she wanted to! She had a good fashion sense and I admire whatever she wore! She was not only a talented singer but a beautiful woman!
Okay, but I didn't agree with her hair & fashion designer. She added 10+ years to Karen's youth. After 1972 (age 22), she looked like 30 something & then her illness aged her appearance further. Extremely sad. 😞
@@bruschmidt9943 What was wrong with her hair? What was wrong with the way she dressed? I have no problem. One that criticized others aught to examine him or herself. It is insensitive comments like this that led to Karen becoming an anorexic.😎
Karen probably and arguably had the finest range in her voice of all popular music artists. Comparable singers would be Barbara Streisand and Aretha Franklin. This is my favourite of all their songs. Love it. So many memories from 1976/7
@taximancometh Hardly, ask any of his peers and they'll tell you of his talent. Especially his arranging talents at a young age. You're reference to "bum bandit" is telling.
Pics at 0:05, 1:00 and 1:10 (playing drums), 1:26 (very pretty), 1:47 (smile), 2:36 (gorgeous! and happiest just playing the drums). BLANK after 2:43 for some damn reason!
At 1:32 she is wearing a "fall" which was a hairpiece added on. The long part of her hair was fake, and the top part was real. Underneath it to give it height, was probably what they call a "bump it"...
You need to cool it, without Richard, Karen wouldn't have been the success that she was, he wrote the music did the arrangements for most of her songs, he was the one that started them as a group. Don't be a hater and spoil Karen's legacy by downgrading Richard. BTW, thanks for sharing this video.
Dear Karen, your mother, your brother and Tom Burris killed you. They killed an angel. I hope they burn in the hell for ever !!! - /// Please, rest in peace my sweet Karen, . . . my love !
I still love Karen Carpenter. She was so wonderful.

Richard was and is a very talented man he composed and arranged their songs but Karen was the voice and people came to listen to her velvet voice.
Ya I heard he was the brains behind all that awesome music.

Que saudade!!! Tem gente que já nasceu brilnhando! É o caso de Karen e Richard.
Um Pena ela ter se dedicado todo seu talento e ter perecido de Anorexia.😪
THOSE GOOD OLD CARPENTERS...
I Love Carpenters
Fantastic voice! She IS Beautiful! GOD Created Her. I'm certain HE Asked this beautiful woman into Heaven! No doubt!
Linda d+ 💙
It is a voice I can't say no to a woman :)
0:50 - isn't that the most beautiful picture of Karen, ever?
+phantom Oh yeah!
That's her, "Rainy Days & Mondays" shot!
I prefer the one directly after it with Tricky Dick
Esse grupo lembra um grande amigo meu q saudades
Me emociono toda vez que assisto esse vídeo 😢
Life was so much better then.

dont diss Ritch, cuz he's half of the Carpenters.
Pics at 0:05, 1:00 and 1:10 (playing drums), 1:26 (very pretty), 1:47 (smile), 2:36 (gorgeous! and happiest just playing the drums). BLANK after 2:43 for some damn reason!
eterna e maravilhosa voz aveludada.
nice
some of the pics on drums give her a Sheila E. vibe.
At 1:32 she is wearing a "fall" which was a hairpiece added on. The long part of her hair was fake, and the top part was real. Underneath it to give it height, was probably what they call a "bump it"...
Yes, just like Amy Winehouse.
@taximancometh Not hardly. He was a damn good arranger especially given his age.

"The best love songs are written with a broken arm!"
lol I have always sang that for years lol
its broken heart but that was fricken funny
@phuckwitt Richard was every bit as talented as Karen.
It was Karen people came to see and loved. It was she who became the superstar, much to Agnes chagrin.
@@billwoodruff9100 Oh I agree and Richard was always the apple of Agnes' eye bu it doesn't take away from my comment.
