To get sweep points you have to start from some sort of guard (de la riva, half, x , y) in this case, Rafa passed the guard to north/south (also considered side mount) before Lemos turned to his knees and came on top.. Basically he never used his legs to sweep it’s a weird concept
@@ethana3050 thanks I can see where you are coming from, I thought he may get points for the single leg takedown considering he comes up with the leg in his grasp and then Rafa goes onto his back.
@@nevertoooldtolearn IBJJF is kind of stupid. so taking someone one down from turtle is not a sweep. Instead the guy who made you turtle gets an advantage and you get nothing for regaining top position.
If the sweep isn´t coming from your guard it´s considered and inversion. You don´t get points and the other guy gets an advantage because you were forced to defend from a bad position.
