every "friend" in my life has treated me differently and started to ghost me since I deleted social media. It is like I disappear from their world if I don't show up on their feed.
@@ProLaytonxPhoenixall our comments and humanity are worthless or waiting for demonetization , or unloving, so we can join then “unalived” because we’re too cowardly to discuss then talk probably. because this is the void we’ve ensnared ourselves into and where we are forever trapped.
In my experience, which may very well differ from the majority... in school, WE did make mistakes, but we respected each other enough to not share them online. I'm glad I don't have fake friends.
I just saw a person I really care for on a dating app this week, however we didn’t interact with each other, nor did we interact when we had eye contact on campus.. something about us both being trapped in finding smt we don’t know how to achieve.
I haven’t used social media in years meanwhile my irl friends can’t do anything without taking a selfie and posting it I honestly consider social media akin to a mental illness fr it’s like most people can’t just live in the moment anymore
The internet has changed friendship by focusing on quantity over quality, with relationships reduced to likes and follower counts. Social media encourages comparison and envy, making real connections harder. Face-to-face time is often replaced by online chats, which lack emotional depth. Misunderstandings are more common because texts don’t show tone or context. Algorithms also push people toward performative or divisive behavior, creating distance between friends. While the internet helps people stay in touch, it often weakens the closeness and trust that real friendships need.
oh we also just- need to CHOOSE AND CHANGE our experiences, we have that whole toolbox of change and adaptations as artists and creators, whether ur helping ur country or ur middle friends that turned into a subculture, do it w ur everything, do it w the trust that those ppl are a part of ur everything 💙✨💙😊
Plot twist, I despise people trying to interact with me when I’m out anywhere. Today’s tech lets me go out while everyone else is mentally absent and not really there. Unfortunately they drive like that on the roads too though and autopilot isn’t up to par yet to babysit them. We are truly headed for a Wall-e movie type future.
That fact that the internet exists as a self serving entity to analyze every little detail of your life to whittle it down to your absolute core sales potential above all other sense of meaning, and the shove it in mercilessly in our faces for this lowest common dominator makes me realize the only value in life is suicide. @@abhijitprajapati3764you’re worth so much more than what your social media dictates. Keep your head up
Love itself, is ruined I’m afraid, but there’s hope in cultivating a new kind of love that values individuality, compromise, empathy, and trust.

Yup it’s because it’s an addiction this is why everyone’s screen time is up to 13 hours a day.

The internet didn't ruin friendships, memes did. Memes are a way for people to bully each other using pictures instead of words.
