The Steve/Danny dynamic is never so utterly beautiful as when they show just how much Steve loves Danny's kids. He's practically a second father to them and it's clear they both adore him just as much and know just how much sway he has with Danny. ;) Like going to your mom when your dad says no and vice versa. :P Also the adorable little moments between Steve and Danny that how you so much about their relationship "You never butter my pancakes" LOL Jaysus, I love them. I wish we got to see more scenes of them together this year. They absolutely MAKE the show. It's a shame that the show runners are not putting Scott's scenes to better use with Alex.

If you only see them working and not get any insight into their home life and relationships then you just can't connect for feel for them. Its actually really important to have these scenes. It not only gives you comedy but it makes the characters way more relatable and lovable.

I know right like this kid maybe a 4 year old. In season one or 2 who goes missing but his parents are unfortunately killed. So Steve saves the child who develops a strong bond to Steve and since the kid doesn’t have family. Steve takes the kid in eventually adopting the child.
