Thank you so much for the valuable info. I just have a problem with the maps, including the desert area. Since I'm working on Qatar maps, can you please help and inform me how to mask the desert area?
I was wondering, how can i eliminate the desert area from this code? It is showing the desert as urban sprawl also. Thanks in advance! The best part of your work is that you generously share your effort while some other people keep it as secret nemsake! Best wishes!
excuse me, i tried this to another district of Indonesia so i changed the geometry imports only (the rest code are same as yours). but i had problem said "Error in map(ID=0): Image.reduceRegion: Too many pixels in the region." and i dont really know how to fix it since it didn't show which row is in error. can you help me please?
Hi SIR ,i am trying the same code for place in india but i got an error like "col.filterDate is not a function" what can do now sir ?can you suggest anything for that sir..
Sir i used the same script as of yours but an error is showing which is... YearList is not defined... How to deal with that... Hoping for your reply 🙏🏻
Keren ramadan.. keep it up. saya coba belajar hal baru disini
Can I increase the pixel resolution so that the development is more visible? I happen to want to study areas with less significant urban sprawl
You can use Sentinel-2 data but it will be limited to only data after 2018
quick question and just in case i missed it, what is the point of NDWI in mapping an urban sprawl?
to mask water out
Thank you for your useful video. Can you calculate the year-over-year ' Build_up ' accuracy.
You need ground truth data first

Hmm, desert area and built up sometime mixed, maaybe you could adjust the threshold adapting the environment

Hello my friend,
I applied this code for Istanbul but from 2005 to 2015 urban area decreases. How can we explain this result?
Adjust the threshold
@@ramiqcom how to adjust the threshold
can u explain why the urban area from 2015 to 2020 is decrease?
Probably reforestation/revegetation or even construction
i used the same code for Saudi Arabia. For its shows built area in the whole country? would please tell me why?
Probably due to desert. I suggest you to find an index to mask the desert.
