I wasn’t rooting for Arvid during this part of the scene. But later on in the season Arvid became so loveable and I definitely was rooting for him after finding out what the farmer did to get his wife Liv. I wish he split him into 4 haha.

What's even more funny about this scene, is the duration of the swordfight. The shortness of it is actually very realistic compared to those 10 minute Hollywood swordfights XD And of course that all of those cheats were for nothing
He sliced him in half like that with one arm....that's not realistic, I don't give a damn how sharp a sword is or strong something is. That's just not realistic. Fights probably went on for more than a few minutes as often as they were a few seconds long. Boxing matches, both people have the strength to knock each other out, but they don't want that to happen to them.

As unlike unarmed fights, any hit with little to moderate force could deal devastating damage to the body. In addition to that, a sword is a lever which is a significant speed and force multiplier(a polearm more so). Although weapons fights do sometimes lasts for minutes or more but more often than not it's because both sides are being careful. Plus I think the scene is at least half true as there are accounts of swords cutting straight down towards the sternum which incidently is around halfway between one's cranium and one's babymaker. If you still don't believe it, check out how quickly olympic fencers can "die", and also hema.

The man in the blue garments had no chance of winning, even with a weapon. He was untrained and the other opponent had armor. Realistically, he was doomed.

It was actually pretty private with maybe the occasional witness. And it wasn’t necessarily to the death. It was either to someone drew the first blood or the the death.
