This is good. Glad to see men in the "public eye" who aren't afraid to stand up for morals and principals. There's a lot of "If it feels good, do it" and "There are no rules" thinking going on and I absolutely believe the men of each household will have to stand up for our society to stay great.
Most people don't include tolerance in a list like this. Usually tolerance is a result of understanding of one another. And when we understand each other I found people get along a lot better and we are all better for it. Thanks for this great video!
As a teacher, I have always been looking for a defined outline of values that I could make my class head towards. There have always been hints and ideas, of course, but this simple set here nails it in the exact way I have been looking for all the time. Thank you very much for this.
Antonio, I follow so many channels here on TH-cam, but I always come back to yours. It is so informative, so pleasing, and I feel that you are a true family man, and you are so down to Earth. I have so much respect for you. Keep up the good work. Thanks for making us better men. Wish you good luck. Greetings from Slovakia. 😊
Great video Antonio. I love how transparent you are, that you're willing to put your reputation on the line for what you do, and that you live up to that reputation. You sir are a gentleman and a scholar!

You've reminded an 22 year old of something that his family always taught him, but in this not-so-perfect world, sometimes we get lost in our ways. Thank you Antonio, you're a good man, and this is a great channel, greetings from Serbia!
Well said Sir! Your children are lucky to have such a dedicated father. I think instilling respect is so important. My mother and father placed extreme importance on manners as well. It always shocks me when I go to an event or to someone’s home or restaurant and the children are rude or out of control. It makes the parents look horrible. I love the fact that you are so hands on as well. I mainly was raised by my governess. I was only brought in to see my mother once a day and we would have tea together. I rarely saw my father even though we lived under the same roof. I missed out on the closeness of a parent. I also love your value of instilling hard work. I made the mistake of not allowing my children to have a single chore because that was how I was raised. Your story about shoveling the driveway is amazing. I think a lot of parents make the mistake of skipping this step, but when you do that, children grow up to be incapable of doing anything for themselves. Kudos to you on doing the hard parenting work. You have a beautiful family! Also I am sorry to hear of your mother-in-law’s experience in the work camps. I lost several relatives in the concentration camps of Birkenau and Auschwitz. We must always remember life could be so much worse. Thank you for this reminder.
Something that has always captured me about this channel is that you consistently put our free informative information! I can truly say i can recommend you to any of my friends without a doubt. :)
Sir, I would like to thank for sharing your very solid family values. I believe these values are extremely important in these turbulent times. We are in serious need of positive role models and you are setting a good example. Keep up the good work. Your work and information is appreciated.
Hello Antonio, I know I sometimes bash your videos, but I have to admit that you are not just releasing advertisement on this channel, and that's nice to see. One thing though, all your points are good, but have nothing to do with family. You can apply all of those irrespective of the fact that you have family or not.
I would have to say that 2 of the most important values that I have implemented in my life is discipline, determination and dedication. Very much important to what I have gone through and has hopefully shapen me well. It is also important for parents to instruct their children into a good path with a strong foundation
Thanks Antonio that was very inspiring . I think I will start working on them before I start implementing them with my wife and step son. Thanks a lot. Keep up the good work.
Antonio, you hit it right on the point regarding hard work. Even the great Edison stated, "there is no substitute for hard work." Great video and message. Keep them coming!
Thanks for this video, Antonio. It's good to think about values from time to time and find ways to implement them in our daily lives. I fear that values nowadays don't get the credit they deserve, but since they form our character and make us who we are, it's necessary to be aware of them and actively live them. Maybe you're familiar with stoic philosophy? They had a lot to say about that matter, too, and they always focused on the practical aspect.
Great video Antonio, this one, really opened my eyes to the good things in life and to the basic things that I can do with my parents while they are alive, that can be a great value, in the future, to me and to learn some lessons about life. And most important, to give value to the "little" things that sometimes doesn't come up in this society, nowadays. Thanks, Antonio. Compliments from an attentive 20 year old viewer, from Portugal.
I agree with everything except tolerance. I think we have too much tolerance in the Western world today and it's a sign of weakness and lack of own ideology. Respect is good enough. "Tolerance and apathy are the last virtues of a dying society" -Aristoteles
Really inspiring Antonio! My (top) values are: Love, Freedom and Courage. I whas thinking about engraving these values into a ring so i would never forget what i stand for :)
Thank you very much for sharing such valuable information. While I was watching this video a strong feeling of excellence was rising within me. Thank you sir, All the best!
I love the way you explained everything you had to say on this & your so right there's a lot of people that just don't have family values now that you explained it all the way you did. thank you for your video keep up the great work :>}
+ALEXANDER MAUGA Sounds like another topic for my next video - thanks! By the way, here are my book reviews on style books: www.realmenrealstyle.com/?s=book+review
this is one of ur best video in fact the best video IMHO that breakfast chat with ur son i like that very much I'm gonna start the same thing with my son thanks a lot u taught me gr8 things
A good list - you got 10 out of 12 right (83%). Three things - 1) when making list remember 10 items was enough for God, 2) just because someone said something a thousand years ago does not mean it is right, and 3) your respect is part of your soul, if you give respect away for nothing - you give your soul away. Many men have given their souls away (I know some of them), and to the best of my knowledge none of them ended up happy with the bargain.PS - A "bossy" girl or woman? I find that hard to believe (LOL).
Here in India the responsibility of creating values among children is mostly on the shoulders of mother s. Fathers are mostly there to entertain there children and have fun with them by eating out, spending money on them. In more plain words spoiling them
About Kindness... Helping people out is great, but what if you're constantly helping out a friend who won't help himself. There's gotta be a point where you just have to quit, right?
Thank you for this... my wife and I often talk to our kids about our family values, but we've never clearly stated them. This is something we will change immediately. How can we expect our kids to adhere to values that are not clearly defined?
Nowadays, the oldest man in the family is the LEAST valued and respected member of the family. An object of shame and ridicule, a contemptuous and bumbling fool, he must be swept aside and hopefully forgotten about. When he dies, his family will put on a long face and pretend he was loved and cherished. He wasn't. At the top of the family hierachy is the eldest teenage daughter, or if older, the youngest adult female. She is valued and respected as the smartest, most beautiful and wisest member of the family. She has the respect and love that she demands and she makes the final decisions on important matters. Those decisions that are beyond her interest or convenience, she appoints to her chosen family member. Even then, she gets to approve the outcome. If she disapproves, and the decision turns out to be wrong, full responsibility will be taken by the family member who made the decision. If the decision turns out to be right, she will demand to be given full appraisal and reap the just rewards. This is the world we live in today. And it's our fault for letting it happen. If you see it as a fault, that is.
Tolerance is an interesting one. As a Christian I do not tolerate sin. I am quick to say when something is wrong. However, that does not mean you look down on anyone for holding any other beliefs. You always treat others with respect and love them as Christ first loved us. I will say this. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but through him. Any religion that says otherwise is dead wrong. Going to adultery, any sex outside of marriage between one man and one woman is sexual perversion and is wrong. Disagree if you like, but I have no problem calling these things out for what they are. That does not mean, however, that I would treat any people of other religions, or homosexuals, or anyone else as inferior. We are all sinners.
I can agree with MGTOW's reasoning but not their actions for the most part. How do you plan to save society from itself if you don't repopulate? Isolating yourself from the group puts you lower on the hierarchy. Why not get out there, find a woman who isn't a feminist and isn't going to screw you over, and have a solid family instead of GIVING UP like a COWARD.
What values do you think a man should have?
