I get so into watching that I find myself smiling and nodding back when you make those great facial expressions. I then sit there afterwards and have an internal dialogue. "you know he can't see you. Why do you smile and look at him like I knew you would like that part. Why do you keep agreeing with him out loud when he gives that smile and replays the good parts, and then have to explain to your family why you are talking to a video." I know all this in advance of watching and still do it on the next video. That is the mark of how good you are at drawing your audience in.
I can't blame you for not liking certain songs. I'm the same way. You start off loving the song, but when they start getting over played on the radio, it sort of takes the whole joy out of it. Thank you! I love your reactions because of your honesty. So thank you, for being real.
I really enjoy watching all of your reactions to Home Free you always bring this fun kid like experience to the reaction and it really makes it fun and the way you're so honest and pure, thank you and hope you continue to do these reactions and I would really like to see you react to their cove of John Michael Montgomery sold Tim hits his lowest note and I can't wait to see your reaction to it have a great day and again thank you for the pure reactions
All of the performances on this episode were very good. One of the best performances was the group Ten and their rendition of Skyfall. They took it to church! At some point, you have to watch that one.
You are having the success because you are one of the best reactors and you know what you're talking about! HF dropped a new Christmas video today....Tennessee Christmas..featuring Rachael Wammack! Can't wait to see your reaction to it!
I am so glad I am not the only lover of music that is not a fan of "Pretty Woman". 😂🥰😁 I agree, they did a great job singing the song and giving us enough of the original so we knew what they were singing, but gave it a little flare so it was their own too. ❤ Great reaction, as usual darlin. 😉 Footnote: During the full show, they had an opening number with all of the acts left in the show & they did "Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing. That is the song Tim was getting his groove on in. 🥰
Thank you for this wonderful reaction! I love Home Free! Jewel was raised in Alaska. Her family has a show on TV called "Alaska Frontier" She fibbed that she didn't know how to play a instrument. Her dad and mom were singers and she was raised around music and even sung since the age of 6! She received a partial scholarship at 15 and attended an arts academy in Michigan. After graduating, she wrote songs and played in coffee shops where she was discovered and offered a recording contract. Her first album has went 12 times Platinum! There's an episode where she's coming back home after being gone a long time. Now, it could have been for tv reasons (editing candy. Aka "ratings" If you will) that the explanation to why no one spoke of her until that specific episode that she was EVEN a member of that family! I'm not sure how true it is but her own Dad alluded to as to why she wasn't mentioned was because after she became famous; she treated her family like garbage.
Not a song I would be in a hurry to play due to overplay, but I do like a really great opera voice now and then ( love Mozart's opera type pieces ) and of course they are always mind blowing hehe
Familiarity can breed contempt with hearing something over and over again. Just look into the haunted eyes of every parent, grand parent, aunt, uncle, friend, any adult really when it comes to "Let It Go". How many have contemplated severe things by just thinking about hearing that one more time after the ten thousanth replay. The part you mentioned from the original was there earlier on but it was subtle, you have to really listen for it. All the best and great reaction as always. Have a great weekend.
I said before music is MY DRUG of choice...it sooths deep down in my heart and soul. All different genres. I get it about not liking a song then hearing a different version. Thank y'all for another great reaction...blessings in y'alls upcoming endeavors. ❤❤❤👏👏👏
This song was over played when it came out and again when the movie came out. That's why I don't care for it I think. Over and over and over... But when I listened to this, all I could do was chuckle. Rob's growl and that HEY! They did several variations in that short time and it was just different enough to make the song interesting again. After I watched Home Free's videos, I had to go back and watch the whole season. I still do once in a while just because they are "good" tv. So to speak. Also the other seasons, probably because I just found them a few years ago and would have loved to see them back then. LOL Thank you, I'm enjoying this journey with you. ^_^
I'm always down for more Sing Off performances. Another couple groups to check out from there that were really good are Vocal Point, Vocal Rush, Committed, Afro Blue, and Dartmouth Aires. All excellent, Committed won the second season, the others all went really far in their seasons, some to the finale. Also if you like the idea of all female a capella that actually sounds good, try Delilah.
I do get what you said about hearing certain s songs played too much that you get tired of it. My husband really likes Pat Benatar, and she’s great, but her song “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” was overplayed so much that I really don’t care for it. If it comes on in the car and we’re together, I tolerate it. If I’m alone and iron, I. Hangs the station. If I heard Home Free sing it (I can see them doing a parody video, almost. 😂), I would definitely check it out. Loved your reaction. Tim actually did sing the “Do do do” part some throughout the song. It just wasn’t as noticeable because Austin’s voice was so on point that it faded in the background until towards the end. I know I heard it at least 3 different times.
Oh my! Great minds think alike... 😉 Almost everything you said was what I thought when I watched the show when it aired! LOL! I also agreed with the judges. -- I loved the movie, but disliked the song too. When I heard this was their choice, I was so disappointed. But hearing them sing it made me love it. I love their arrangements, & Tim always makes his bass lines interesting. -- Tim's dance move was from the opening number of the show that wk. It's so much fun watching them give him a hard time, becuz Tim has a wickedly sharp wit & absolutely loves to pick on people; on his band mates, the audience, or many times himself as well. He takes it as well as he gives it, which is a lot of why so many people love him & makes their concerts so much fun. They ALL have a great sense of humor, but Tim is the one that comes off as most un-filtered, & the quickest, & the least one to let things go by unnoticed! He's just an adorable brat! 😄 With all that said, you will never find a better bunch of gentlemen (esp Tim!). Another great reaction!! Thx so much!
Please, react to more Sing Off performances, there are some stellar performances from different groups, like Darthmouth Aires's Queen Medley, Afroblue's Change Is Gonna Come, Jerry Lawson and Talk of the Town's House of Rising Sun, Street Corner Symphony's Creep, Ten's Chain of Fools etc.
Don't forget Afro Blue's "American Boy" and "Heard It Through the Grapevine", Vocal Point's Elvis medley, and Street Corner Symphony's "Everybody Wants to Rule the World".
@@UserHorologium Just gave some examples, there are so many gems from all seasons, from Beelzebubs' Sweet Caroline on season 1 to The Melodores' Take Me to Church on the last one, I miss the show so much!
The sing off always had a show opener where all the groups sang together. There were so many great openers that you should check out from season three and four as well. My personal favorite was from season three with Pentatonix, it was the halloween opener where there was a mash up of This is Halloween/Werewolves of London/Ghostbusters. I'd love for you to check out the Melodores performance of Take me to Church from the holiday show at some point.
Home Free is amazing. I first saw them on the Sing Off and knew they were going to win after their first song. Have been a Home Fry since that performance. I have only been able to catch them live twice. If you get a chance to see them - do it. I love your reaction videos. I have watched a lot of reaction videos for them and enjoy yours the most. I agree with 100% on the original. Not a fan. Keep doing what you do. No changes necessary.
It was a brilliant arrangement! Who would have guessed to "hear" it like that!?! Huh?....... Funny thing here --- with these guys, they're integration and performance was so good that things weren't properly/readily noticed or recognized. --- 1. Ben would have liked "Hey"... but they did do that 3X vs "just doing" the "doot", "doot", "doot" .......... and 2. Sean's comment of not hearing the iconic "tune"........... (along with you!) ......... but they (Tim) did it throughout the song!!!!! till the breakdown.... then started back up.... With the judges comments ---- think that is why or explains the look on HF faces with their comments ==== confusion, simply because --- here again. "They done it all". If gone back and listened to ---- it's so easy ....... damn, how'd I miss it? --- it's right there. ---- LOL, Jewel even said, to use her words against their own (judges) comments ---- "... the song can pass you by" .... Huh? --- Give another listen if you will!!!! I love it!!!!
There was definitely some great talent in season 4 (Voice Play, the Philharmonic as prime examples) but Home Free was already miles ahead at the start of the series. Still, the other groups are by and large worth a listen, especially top 6 up, in Season 4. You might want to do that for your own fun, if not for reactions.
Enjoyed the reaction and comments. Given how you feel about Tim, I’d love to see your reaction to Tim’s solo Can’t Help Falling in Love from before he joined Home Free. th-cam.com/video/qyNgohTZWTA/w-d-xo.html
While I’ve never tired of this song, unlike you, this is such an iconic song. This is the first performance by Home Free, that i really didn’t enjoy. I suspect that if they were to do this in a non-competition setting they would do it very differently.
Thank you for this great reacion. I'm also not really a fan of this song but still liked what they did with it. Btw, if you'd ever just like to watch the complete shows of Season 4 of the Sing-Off, I have them all on my channel: th-cam.com/play/PLJmdJ9nIx082U5S5RJ1ciqVNhdYU-jjRO.html There is always an opening number where all the groups performed and quite a few of the other contestants had a few great performanced (though Home Free is still my number one)
I grew up with that song, but I never like the original either. I always loved my dad's band's version of the song, which is a lot closer to the Home Free version than the original, them being a country band and all. This was actually my least favorite of their performances, but it was still awesome.
I've always loved the song, but I think maybe because I love the movie. Roy Orbison, not so much. I've never understood the popularity he had. Jus'sayin
The only performance I didn't like! Possibly because I've always hated this song!! Every Sing-Off episode started off with an opening number by all the groups, and of course the lead singers of each group shined and tried to outshine each other during these numbers, and Scott always did well in Pentatonix's season, and Austin always did well in Home Free's season!!
New one today! Home Free and Lee Greenwood "God Bless the USA" Awesome!
I listen to you all the time. Thank you
Listen to "Misty Mountains" with Peter Hollens and Tim Foust. Out of this world!
Yes, pls react to the ultimate singoff part! It's great!
The sing off between Home Free and the Philharmonic's is definitely worth watching! They do Caddy shacks I'm all right and it is all kinds of awesome!
yes - that is a great one
yes, it's hilarious!

Their version of this song always makes me so happy. Can't wait for your reaction to their ultimate sing off its so fun.

You have to see the Homefree Philharmonic sing off of Caddyshack

I'm glad you explained the dance moves. I've always been a bit confused.
I love every cover they've done and most of the time I prefer their version.
Thanks only version of this song that I love to 😉🥰😍✌🏽
That Vocal rush performance is one you need to see.
You didint notice the bass line was gone because it wasnt gone, either a part of the song was cut (i dont think so) or Shawn was mistaken there.
Yeah you can hear it from the start.
Why earphones are brilliant !
They killed it. Love your reactions!

I love Home Free, and this version is pretty good, but nothing can beat the original to me. Just my humble opinion but Roy's voice was one of a kind.
Opinions are welcome thanks for watching!!!!
Not a song I would be in a hurry to play due to overplay, but I do like a really great opera voice now and then ( love Mozart's opera type pieces ) and of course they are always mind blowing hehe
12:10 there's videos of the opening of each episode with all the groups. "Sing-off season 4 opening acts"
They had me cracking up on this one. It was Rob that made me laugh!

Don’t fix what is not broke and I have enjoyed you from the start.
"MAYDAY"......Home Free.
WOW! Did he just sing to Jewel?
Music can bring me up from some of my darkest times, my therapy is to drive with my windows down and my radio turned up really loud.
Great reaction.

Idk if you saw at the end of the video but right after you paused it there was a funny part lol
Colter Wall. Any damn song. The kid is amazing.
