2024 Session: Harnessing R and Cloud for Hydrology [A. Khouakhi]

The emergence of Earth Observation (EO) cloud computing technologies such as Google Earth Engine and Microsoft Planetary Computer, has facilitated open access to extensive computational resources and datasets. This course will showcase the synergies between R programming and EO cloud computing capabilities for hydrological research.
This course will guide you on how to harness these platforms from within R to seamlessly analyse catchment data from anywhere in the world. Participants will learn how to use these resources, enabling seamless access and manipulation of catchment data from any location worldwide, and further analyse the data in R.
