Javed Ahmed Ghamidi is a Pakistani Muslim theologian, a Quran scholar, and an educationist. Mr. Ghamidi is a student of Maulana Amin Ahsan Islahi and Maulana Abul A’la Maududi. Mr. Ghamidi has authored several books, including the bestseller ‘Meezan’, in which he presents a comprehensive treatise on the entire content of Islam. Mr. Ghamidi is a researcher and a critical thinker who has challenged many aspects of the traditional Muslim schools of thought on the basis of evidence from the Quran and sunnah.

I am surprised why Imam Ahmad bin Hambal could not solve such a burning question of Khaliqi Quran and tolerated such atrocities in Abbassi period ,which question was solved by Ab. Rehman Abdullah bin Mohammad Azdi in the court of Wasiq Billah in a single simple sentence , that whether such belief was preached by Prophet pbuh or his four Khulfai Rashdeen or any Suhabi, if it was included in a recorded or required belief of a Muslim . No one including Mufti Azam of the kings court could utter a single word in reply to Ab Rehman.

جب اللّٰہ و رسولﷺ اور صحابہؓ کرامؓ کی نظر میں حضرت ابوبکر صدیقؓ سب سے افضل تھے تو ان کے مقابلے میں کہہ و مہ کی اوقات ہی کیا ہے کہ اختلاف کرتا پھرے۔ کیا ایک بندہ مومن اس کی پیروی کے بجائے ذاتی پسند اور ناپسند کو اختیار کرنا چاہیے۔اجماع امت کے مقابلے میں عقلی ڈھکوسلوں کی کیا وقعت ہے۔

You say that personal allegiance to Prophet's companions should not be a basis of divisions amongst muslims, yet you claim that we receive our deen from the Prophet’s companions. No wonder people will fiercely contest who’s on the right deen depending on which companions they follow. You are therefore supporting the conflict whether you realise it or not.
