I also have baleno available, looking to restore it mechanically and then the looks. However, just checked the comments, isn't 7lac was on the high end ? It's almost the value of the car.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. This do sounds high but when you take into account resetting the vehicle back to factory condition then there is a lot to be done. Out of this 700k the service charge was 300k which included a full scale body rebuild alingwith service charges for all mechanical and electrical works. The cabin upholstery fab was a 90k charge in itself which included getting the seats etc repaired.
All in all, even if you consider the vehicle's worth as 700k and add another 700k on top. So at a total of 1400k, you still won't be able to find a brand new condition sedan whatever year or model you might want to consider.

Thanks for the explanation, however, I still believe it's on higher side as even If somehow I have to sale the car I might get break even or less.

Honestly if you compare it as selling it after restoring it is of no purpose. You would never be able to recover your restoration cost. However, if you consider keeping it for 3-4 years minimum then that's the best investment you could do for yourself.

What was the cost to restore the car? Parts easily miljate hain?
