Are you serious? He just rolled back onto the stage? Im also surprised that the Samus didnt catch the Link's double from at ledge to get center, he did that MULTIPLE times and the Samus didnt call it out.
Any move thats -7 or more Link can grounded upb out of shield, so it was just a question of Sillintor's reaction time. Not sure why spectral went for a dsmash after Sillintor landed a nair on his shield
@@SmashUltimateLinkVods Grab would have killed so Spectral read a roll behind with D-smash. I do that roll sometimes as a new Link player. Very high risk play though. Link can jump to avoid grab, or rolled the other way. He even could have n-aired again to beat both grab and the d-smash
Nice to see Silliintor applying that Link sauce in tourney. I hope one day he can learn to apply it optimally and push this character forward apart from his streams. I think its one of the only answers to this current meta right now. Straight fundies Link does not have the best tools to keep up with the higher tier characters in my opinion. Gotta have that sauce!
Sillintor doesn't compete offline seriously anymore, so you won't see him doing this again probably. Most Links dont have amazing fundies, even the decent ones. I think with amazing fundies and decent techskill, Link can compete well with high tiers. But there isn't really anyone doing that consistently, just yet.
Agreed, link is actually more of a fundies character. The tech skill with bomb is extremely niche. I suspect that's why T is the only link that's top 8'd a super major in ultimate.
I wouldn't call the bomb tech skill "extremely niche". It definitley has good applications in certain situations. Its just that that will never be something you should be relying on. The fundies carry you 80% of the way. The bomb stuff just gives you that extra juice. @@jackattackhissnack
WOAH IS THAT SILLINTOR?!?!?!?!!? I try not to see anyone as the "bad guy", so I just see what each player does that makes them so good. Fake hype kinda works well in that regard!
How was he campy, what are you smoking? Dude played aggro the whole damn set and was constantly going after Link on the aggressive. You act like he was just chilling in the back shooting rockets and his B.
@sergeantsnugglez3228 lmao over half of links combos start by landing a projectile, he has to throw those hit boxes ouy constantly, specially if you as link aren't trying to get outranged and punished tf out of by samus all the way across the screen. samus just camps the whole game in one way or another, link is by far more entertaining to both fight and watch
You keep saying Samus just camps.....how? Again watch the damn match, Samus is playing so aggro on Link the entire game. The only time I see Samus playing conservative is when it was 2 to 2. Samus is constantly charging his shot in air, then going after link with bairs, fairs, up airs, Ftilts. What the hell are you talking about?@@FumEpe
@sergeantsnugglez3228 I don't really agree w that, you can see samus is constantly looking for a punish by reacting to whatever link does throughout the whole game that's still campy imo cause at the end of the day youre just waiting for u opponent to do shit. that's like saying steve isn't campy for mining materials then waiting for the other player to come towards him to attack him. that's why I think samus is lame cause sure u can be aggressive as much as you want but 90% of samus gameplan just revolves around letting ur opponent approach first and see what shit u can throw at them for it, and not only that charge shot being so strong immediately forces them to try to stop you from charging it etc forcing them to approach
that's nice you don't agree, but that's not what's happening. Samus staying glued to link with fairs and edge guarding is NOT campy. Playing reactionary is not campy. He is playing nothing like a Steve building a wall and mining in a corner. I think you should get your eyes checked. Watch the first damn minute of the video, and what do you see? Samus IMMEDIATELY doing his plasma grab off ledge and going after Link like crazy. Where on Earth do you see "camping"?@@FumEpe
The original stream (Sissistate Punks) did not upload the vod however it is highlighted on their Twitch. This was uploaded here for easier access.
Link vs Samus is so fun to watch! Both of these players are very skilled.
god damn this set was good
Are you serious? He just rolled back onto the stage? Im also surprised that the Samus didnt catch the Link's double from at ledge to get center, he did that MULTIPLE times and the Samus didnt call it out.
7:18 That was amazing, not once in the whole set had he used the grounded version. Capitalized on Spectral's complacency. 10:26 was insane.

@YTheNord You're asking me?
@YTheNord It's alright, I've been back to the main recently but it's at a decent rating online, could be better. Fun character though

Sorry what are fundies
Fundamentals. Stuff like neutral, advantage state, disadvantage state, ledgetrapping, edgeguarding, understanding RPS, etc.

Uuuffff que batalla
I hate the Spamus, all of them are too campy
Bruh samus sucks..
samus is so fn lame
Link spamming boomerang, bow n arrow, and bombs, yet you are complaining about Samus?
