holy fuck. guitar and skills. last song was crazy. Not expecting that. I dont even come here just to see guitars anymore. Marks playing easily steals the show
Mikale Maurer def, Mark A brought his A game today. But I won't lie, I come here for the guitars too, and Jen's giggles, and her whispering 'Yes' when he opens the cases LOL 👍🏼😂
#FlatTopFriday #GOTD #FinallyPagey 1- over the hills & far away / the mighty Zep 2- life by the drop / SRV ? I think 3- rude mood / SRV way to kick ass Mark 🎸 high Jen☺️
brendan embrey great GOTD episode. Mark A def brought his A game today. I remember watching that SRV unplugged episode, I think they split the episode with Joe Satriani, those were golden times for us guitar players 🎸
I am always so inspired by how dedicated Mark is to his job & to music! After watching these videos I always feel a strong urge to play some guitar right in the middle of the night :) Keep on, this is a great show you make!
Great playing BTW! Stevie has touched us all in a pretty major way in our lives. If it wasn't for Stevie I wouldn't have continued playing the guitar or found my insane love for music in general. I am the player I am today because of Stevie. One man touched the world and changed the world and continues to do so even today. If it wasn't for Stevie modern blues playing and the blues in general wouldn't have half the impact it has today. I hate to say it because I love these guys but Eric Clapton or George Thorogood or whoever wasn't gonna carry the torch but thank God that Stevie did and carried it better than any man could all the while pointing away from himself and always giving credit to the guys and gals that carried the blues before him. We only got Stevie for a few short years but it was enough and that says everything about him. Thank you for playing Stevie Mark and that guitar sounds awesome as well!
I have an electrified '74 F412-BLD hanging on my wall that is MINT! :) Picked it up as a kid in a band and now just a dad who serenades the kids with it. :)
Thats why you are the Store Manager.... Norm knows that you can take an old guitar with some wear and tear, make it sound like a million bucks and make that cash register ring... Smoking Good Playing !!
Mark, you made my day complete. A Guild. A 12 string. Zep and SRV. Can't thank you enough. I watch every day and even though I can't play a lick, I really truly enjoy the videos. Keep on keepin' on.
Pretty sure too that's the same model that Page used to record Over the Hills and Far Away. That's why it sounds so good (Also Mark nailed that song note for note)
Let's all take a moment to appreciate and imagine waking up in the middle of the night with mark making his "rude mood" faces at you. I was reeeeally expecting you to play "life without you" with that guild.
Awesome job on rude mood SRV unplugged was the first introduction to me and it was all over after that, I had to learn to play. Thanks for taking me back to that time seems like yesterday that show changed my life.
I've got a Guild 12 string from 1969 bought in '72. Love it and will die with it still in my possession. So sturdy built if you couldn't play, you could drive railroad spikes with one.
I dun gradjeated says Jethro in 1975. I remember looking at the house of guitars at all the new guilds way back then. Damn that 412 sounded really good. I have an Ibanez all maple acoustic new in 1982, spruce top and flamed maple back and sides, only one tiny ding in that time but took great care with all my instruments. The sound that Ibanez has will rival any guild or Gibson or martin. I wish I could record it in a studio again so you all could hear what I mean. One of our top studio guys harassed me for years to sell it to him but I kept it.Go ahead and laugh at what I say but it is a beautifully made guitar and the sound is iincredible. Thanks to Mark for burning his fingers off, you are a heck of a player.
Wow favorite Flat top friday to date. Guilds got us goin. Many of my blues ancestors of influence were bangin out those down and dirty blues on Guilds since the beginning. Anyone who has ever commented about Marks playing skills lets see you play that last piece Mark just blessed us with. Don't be talkin trash on John Denver hahaha . Great Show Mark
I may be late but I still gonna get my comment in.....Great job to both Mark and Jen for showing us some of the best pieces of wood our eyes have ever seen. I wish I was filthy rich.
Hi Mark and Jen - I'm Nick and I watch your vids regularly all the way out here in Guam, where I'm stationed as active duty Navy. Always fun to see so many cool axes. My Mom lives in Irvine so I'll visit the store next time I'm in SoCal to visit her. I'm originally from Utica, NY (same town as Joe Bonamassa) and my guitar 'claim to fame' is that Joe came out to see my band play at a hole-in-the-wall in upstate NY called The Village Tavern, summer of '99, since we had recently bought a bunch of stuff from his Dad's store. He stayed for the entire set and told me that I "sounded good" afterwards so, what the hell more can you ask for? 🤣 Take care and keep up the great vids!!! 🎸
She may be beat up but she sings so sweetly! Love this guitar, man. Mark, I broke out into song on LZ! "Hey lady...you got the love I need...maybe more than enough..." What a way to end the week!
I have a 1979 Guild F212XL NT. Best sounding guitar I've ever played. Had it since the early 80's. I'll pass it on to my guitar playing son (along with my 2008 Martin D-28 Marquis.).
WOW, twelve strings rarely have that well defined bass resonance just because they have to be braced so stiff. I think the years of wear have actually helped that guitar it sounds great
Love Guild jumbos, thanks for doing this! One thing, the "F" in the model name has nothing to do with the size of the guitar, there was the F-20 that was a small body guitar among others. "F" just stands for "folk" in the Guild line.
This was terrific. I think this was the best rendition of over the hills and far away i have heard. Really terrific. … so i just ordered a new f-512… my hope is that someday in my life i can come even partway to sounding as good as that!
Some great playing Mark. Over The Hills- love Houses Of The Holy. I was just listening to the reissue that came out last year- sounds great. I love the sound of that 12 string Mark, your right. I bet you sold it by now. SRV's Rude Mood- awesome playing Mark!
holy fuck. guitar and skills. last song was crazy. Not expecting that. I dont even come here just to see guitars anymore. Marks playing easily steals the show

Mark, after watching this, you are officially my favorite human being.

Love this guy
I bought my lefty 1989 12 string Guild from you Mark (and Norm :) and it is hands down the best guitar I own. I'll never sell it.
Wow, Mark... busting out the Rude Mood. I'm impressed. Love this guitar.
Pretty sure too that's the same model that Page used to record Over the Hills and Far Away. That's why it sounds so good (Also Mark nailed that song note for note)
Fingers of fire!!! fuckin' incredible Mark!!
This is such an amazing set by Mark
WOW - THAT's WHAT AN ACOUSTIC SHOULD SOUND LIKE! UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Let's all take a moment to appreciate and imagine waking up in the middle of the night with mark making his "rude mood" faces at you. I was reeeeally expecting you to play "life without you" with that guild.
You are a Master, Sir.
FINALLY!!!!!!! My dream 12 string!! THANK YOU MARK!!!! YOU ROCKED SRV!!!! Much love from NE Ohio!
Awesome job on rude mood SRV unplugged was the first introduction to me and it was all over after that, I had to learn to play. Thanks for taking me back to that time seems like yesterday that show changed my life.
Just one thing to say - Mark you've just made my day!!!! Amazing playing - I'm now looking for a 12 string!
I've got a Guild 12 string from 1969 bought in '72. Love it and will die with it still in my possession. So sturdy built if you couldn't play, you could drive railroad spikes with one.
Jen's "oh my god" at the end though.
Mark's best performance so far!
I dun gradjeated says Jethro in 1975. I remember looking at the house of guitars at all the new guilds way back then. Damn that 412 sounded really good. Really nice sounding guitar

You crushed the Zeppelin tune. You sir are bad ass. Thanks for making my day.
Mark, I'm impressed. I mean I knew you had chops, but this was on a whole new level. Wow!
I recently bought a 2001 Guild JF-65 12. Last year for the Westerly RI factory! She is a stunner and weighs more than a Tele.
She may be beat up but she sings so sweetly! Love this guitar, man. Mark, I broke out into song on LZ! "Hey lady...you got the love I need...maybe more than enough..." What a way to end the week!
That was awesome Mark... you shine!... Hi and thanks Jen!
I have a 1979 Guild F212XL NT. Best sounding guitar I've ever played. Had it since the early 80's. I'll pass it on to my guitar playing son (along with my 2008 Martin D-28 Marquis.).
There you have it!

WOW, twelve strings rarely have that well defined bass resonance just because they have to be braced so stiff. I think the years of wear have actually helped that guitar it sounds great

Daniel Valencia there you go D finally. Power of positive thinking.
Great SRV! Good job.
Finally, Mark tackles an acoustic 12-string for Guitar of the Day!
Love Guild jumbos, thanks for doing this! One thing, the "F" in the model name has nothing to do with the size of the guitar, there was the F-20 that was a small body guitar among others. "F" just stands for "folk" in the Guild line.
Wow! Great job, you look like you're having fun.
