Mayu's voice in this is pretty epic. She has a little bit of everything and its just so good. I also bet Tamu played this off without any prior practice all in one go as you can see her reading the music. She is a super woman drummer.
I saw that someone mentioned the Marty Friedman interview where he attempts to help Mayu with her pronunciation. It is worth a watch. Best part, he agrees with you. He tells her that he prefers her cute way of pronouncing English words and that she shouldn’t try to change. But, he does teach her the proper way to pronounce Rs and Ls. Marty lives in Japan now and does a lot of work, and interviews, with Japanese artists. The video “Marty Friedman attempts to solve NEMOPHILA 's problems.” has subtitles.
I can't believe you didn't know who In This Moment is. I have known about them now for 3 days already 😂. I saw In This Moment live 3 days ago. They were playing with New Years Day, Avatar, and Ice Nine Kills( the reason I went to the show). They were amazing. All 4 bands were, in fact.

Even though Mayu has improved her English a lot in recent years, I assume that she still sings a lot of the songs by ear, which only makes it more impressive in my opinion. And believe me, it doesn't sound goofy or wrong at all. When I listen to their covers, I always feel their respect to the original song and they are saying "This song is great, right?". Even if Mayu doesn't speak English, but she tries not to spoil the original vocal. And of course, the other 4 members are trying to tell us how the original song is cool. See their faces. They are also one of fans of the original songs. Nemophila takes these great songs to the future by covering them.

I agree with your reaction! I think this cover shows how diverse Mayu's abilities are. Speaking of which, I noticed that "Ray of light" is missing from your wonderful NEMOPHILA playlist. It's a great song that switches between her crystal clean and dinosaur-like screams with frightening lightness and ease. If you have time, I hope you will check this song out as well. Herman Lee's Interview with Saki 1 of the best. Mayu doesn't speak English in Interviews. Saki does it. And translates for band normally unless interpreter present. I believe R's aren't used in Japanese so a lot who at first learn use W's instead.
Out of curiosity don't these places and names have an R in them. Narita, Nara, Midori, Ryugasaki, Meguro, Haraguchi-san, Sapporo, Aomori, Hiroshima. I see many R's am I missing something Arigato I thought it was the L they didn't use. In Hiragana you have Ra, Ri, Ru, Re, Ro. But no La, Li, Lu, Le, Lo. Yes Japanese is very confusing. Even my girlfriend's name has an R. Risa.

Especially The song - 1. WHORE.2. Blood. 3.Sick Like Me. 4. As Above As Below. 5. The In between And ESPECIALLY 6. THE FIGHTER. Such a great band with Maria Brink who is an underrated Front Woman and Singer. This Band after 3 members left completely reinvented themselves for the better and put on a great show. The Video to Whore is Great and her live as good. And best thing about IN THIS MOMENT. MARIA (THE BAND) DO NOT COPYRIGHT STRIKE. She at least used to run the Social Media and Gets how Reactions only do bands good by promoting them to an audience who may never have heard of them before. Crap forgot 7. I recommended you react to some of In This Moment on your Gimme Chocolate reaction. I guess you didn’t see it or not by this point of recording. Big Bad Wolf music video is one you must see. But honestly all of their music videos are bangers, even their newest one The Purge. In my opinion, In This Moment’s peak art is in their music video production.
