Haha looks like weather forecasting is a interTasman thing :D

@@dewynoodle 😂 it really can be during the winter months, but then we don’t get rain for 6 months so I’ll take the rain!

The forecast for the hills (where this sanctuary is located) is often different than the forecast for Perth. Many native animals in Australia are nocturnal, so you won’t see them during the day. The Australian Wildlife Conservancy has another sanctuary in the hills called Karakamia, which runs guided night hikes (nowhere near as hard as the Paruna hikes - much slower, less hilly and far shorter than Numbat 😜) where you are more likely to spot wildlife. Even if you don’t see much on the walk, you’ll be dodging them on the slow drive out 😂

Oh, and excellent video by the way - very representative of what Paruna is like. If you go in spring there are wildflowers and after more rain good waterfalls too 👍👍👍

I did specifically look at Avon Valley, but you know, it only added to the experience!
Ah, that’s awesome info! Thank you for taking the time to share that, I’ll have to look them up because I’m definitely keen to get out and see some more wildlife and a night hike sounds awesome. I can only imagine the amount you’d have to navigate around them on the way out though, just like the Roos down South I’m guessing!

Thank you! I really appreciate your feedback 😊 I’d love to go back now and see some of the waterfalls. They weren’t really flowing when we were up there!
