    Glad to see Tech companies pushing the limits. This is something that I could actually see myself using (concept wise) in the future. Great video! Would love to see a creator review of it when the product comes out!

    The only thing missisng is a usb-c port on the right side as well. They have put everything on the left side, which is not practical when you have perihperals on the right side of your laptop (screen, mouse,etc..) Some usb-c accesoires also are very large which can make it impossible to insert something in the second usb-c port. So yeah that the only thing i hope they will fix in their next iteration . And maybe a tent mode :-) because the current screen clone is akward, you would both be staring at the reflection of the ceiling. And tent mode is also better when on the bed or couch (so that the vents don't suffocate)
    I'm a real fan of this device, its incredible how they thought of EVERYTHING. It's definitly much better then the Lenovo yoga 9I (which has a keyboard that is loose, no backlight and has to be carried appart and doesn't charge when put in the laptop.
    And it has usb A and HDMI port which lenovo is also missing (and are very important).
    Ow and I forgot: It's much cheaper then the lenovo!

    Love it. Always loved the Zaphrus Duo and this is just as cool and in some ways better, in some ways possibly not quite as good eg. the cooling doesn't look as good as the Zephrus but saying that it may not need as much cooling as the CPU is different and the GPU is different. Love it anyway. would have liked to see you show the backlighting on the keyboard just to see how bright it is but aside from that you've showed this off really well.

    I can see myself using this at the office or at home when I want a second screen. The thing for me is that I have a dual screen setup with a separate monitor at home and at my office. My second screen is 27 inches. So I don't know where this might fit in with me personally. I would probably use it in normal laptop mode on a plane or in a coffee shop. This is why I love my Zenbook Duo with an extra half screen. It's always in regular laptop mode and yet I always have a second screen. But for content creators, I can see this being awesome.

    No no no ive been waiting for this type of laptop for years! In my eyes this is a no compromise laptop! Im a professional filmmaker and have been using the zenbook duo series for years now this is what ive been waiting for! As much as i love the zenbook duo i find the bottom screen still just not as usable for long session pen input (its also kinda small). And folding 2 in 1s are just bulky and underpowered. Along with the new ultra chips, these laptops can be slim, have great battery life and still powerful enough to get most of my photo and editing work done. If i want a full screen THAT LAYS FLAT for pen input i got it. For video editing i have two full screens, if i want to use it as a normal laptop i can do it. The Zenbook duo you had to use a really small trackpad and a weird keyboard layout, not a huge deal but a compromise none the less. This is it fixes all that!

      Filmmaker here also. I'm wondering if this can edit 4k videos on premiere pro. This concept and laptop is exactly what i need for mobile work. Big question is can it edit? I'm currently using dell xps 15 for a balance of performance, weight, and design. I carry a portable monitor with me but setting it up and the eye angle to the side still isnt' great.

    Too glossy. Can see the reflection of one screen off the other as well as reflection of lights. Two screens are the future, but I want 16" matte or anti-refective screen with keyboard and numeric keypad. And with a hinge that folds all the way back.

    • @nicholash8021
      @nicholash8021 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Most people who are really into screens, particularly gamers and high-end graphic designers, will prefer a glossy screen as matte will wash out the image. With a glossy screen, you just have to angle the screen to ensure no bright reflections are on the surface. I will NEVER buy matte finish again.

    I really struggle to see a non-awkward use case for this - 2 screens up in landscape and the angled glossy bottom screen shows a lot of reflections, the 2 in portrait - the uneven hinge is annoying, the 'share mode' is a complete gimmick and I did not see a good stable drawing position for using the pen. Sorry but- hard pass. A conventional 19 or even a 21 inch laptop/2 in1 would make more sense for many in my humble opinion.

    Hate to see Asus abandon professional creators for everyday consumers. Really disliked their Zenbook presser today. Also this form factor was already done by Lenovo. Can't describe how much I dislike this pivot from Asus. This is the type of device that should have included the external GPU, but no. Just a weak multi tasking, entertainment creature

    • @theTechNotice
      @theTechNotice  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +17

      I believe Zenbooks were never for the Professional Creator, it's the ProArt lineup that's designed for that. The Zenbooks are for everyday users/prosumers.
      Also, I don't agree with the Lenovo comparison and I'd have to agree with Dave2d on this one, I think Asus had a dual screen before Lenovo with their DUO lineup going back a few years.
      Just thought I'll share my 2 cents :)

    • @scottdpeterstv
      @scottdpeterstv 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@theTechNotice All the flagship Zenbooks lean heavily towards the professional creator. The Zenbook Pro 16X OLED, Pro 14 OLED, Pro 14 & 15 Duo OLED... The only prosumer one was the non-pro 14 that got first in line for the 14th gen treatment (I'm not counting the 17' fold experiment that no one bought). Also, their Duo lineup never featured dual hinged screens until now and it's the exact same form factor of last year's Yoga 9i with seemingly the only difference being pen support and updated internals. All of their previous Zenbook marketing on their TH-cam Channel was focused on professional film makers, photographers, videographers, animators, designers, now we get people in offices.. Heck, it's even categorized on their store site under the "For Creators" line of laptops! Also, the Touchpad+ is very different than this so shouldn't be compared. Couldn't disagree with you more on this one, but love your channel. Sad day for Zenbook indeed.

      @SatlaE 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      You are wrong and jumping to conclusions...you only think the GPU is weak because its internal GPU, this is not the case! This is ARM based processor! (I'm sure you dont even know what this is). Have you head of the apple processors? M1,M2,M3... are they weak? NO! They also have "integrated" GPU (its not really integrated in the CPU), this is the same concept of that intel ARM processor. Please do your research before shouting in the comment section.

    • @scottdpeterstv
      @scottdpeterstv 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@SatlaE WRONG. Intel Ultra is still based on x86 architecture. This is NOT the same or in the same league remotely as the M series processor. The Snapdragon X Elite coming out will be the first true ARM processor for Windows. Wow, you are the meme of confidently incorrect! Nice try though.

    • @scottdpeterstv
      @scottdpeterstv 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@theTechNotice Was my comment about Zenbooks really being marketed for Professional Creators removed? Let me just say it again then. The Zenbook Pro x16, Pro 14 Oled, Pro 14 & 15 Duo Oled were all geared and marketed towards professional creators. Zenbooks are featured in the "For Creators" section of the Asus store online. ALL of the marketing material for Zenbooks until today targeted professional creatives specifically. The only non-creator Zenbooks are the non pro 14 that was the first to get Intel Ultra and 17' foldable device. For the folks saying this is running on an ARM chip, no it is not. This is running on Arc which though better then iris xe is still not up to par with Apple's GPU and definitely no where close to a descrete GPU from Nvidia or AMD.
