Do you know if this issue between these cats was resolved or improved? I feel sorry for the older cat. Maybe each cat should each have their own prestigious place. And for the owners to reinforce that each cat has their own very special place that belongs just to them.

Perhaps try t touch technique with a professional on both cats. I am using a spiritual healer on one of my cats who over grooms due to stress. She has always over-groomed.

It may be beneficial to join a couple of cat groups on Facebook and ask how others cope with territorial issues. It’s really unfair to both cats, and how dreadful for the cat parents to deal with all the tension. There is a take away, I think for me when I want to add a new animal to our family, I need to get the animals in our home involved with the process. Maybe I will try fostering.

Someone commented to give them their own spots that our their own spot, such as a shelf, drawer, spot on couch, or perch on a cat tree. They like to be high up and to feel safe and not too close to each other unless they love each other already.

It’s a huge waste of time and money if she can’t help them to fix the issues.

Sometimes it can help and often does. But just because we can talk to someone doesn't mean that we can change their behaviour to do our bidding. Forinstance, just because we can talk to a teenager, it doesn't mean that they will listen to us and change their behaviour accordingly.

I've got a mother cat and 4 and f her now, 1 yr old kittens and I sure could use this lady cause mama is mean as hell to 1 and the only thing I know to do, is get her fixed this week. If that doesn't work, she has to be rehomes. It's to the point I don't want to leave the house because she'll attack her
