A real honey hive for sure, those folks will be eating honey for the next 3 years....and picking wax from their teeth as well. Awesome video and great pictures at the end. The black and white pictures were my favorite. God's peace brother.
They reconnected with some long-lost relatives and estranged friends when everyone figured out how much honey they had. You know the old lottery winner syndrome.
This is not really bee related but i have binged watched you for many months. Being 70 and house bound with MS your videos bring me so much joy. I cannot see the country like i used to do,i have never seen your part of the country from Colorado. I love all the extras for sure it brings a lot of joy to this old woman, thank you so much and the bee info helps me go to sleep at night i just love hearing them in their hives😊. Thank you so very much!!!
I was literally confirmed as having M S yesterday, i knew it was coming so i went to Italy and saw Pompeii, Sorrento and went up the volcano. Gotta do these things now just in case, though it seems the treatment is a lot more effective these days. Hope you are pain free and able to get out again soon
I 2nd this. Seeing Pops out and about is a great sight to see. I've finally got to where I can get my Pops back out and about after 5 or 6 years stuck indoors. Man is he happy to be out again, I love seeing the bright look in his eyes
I Love how you include your Photos of America.👍 In many ways that is the best part of your videos Randy, thanks you for sharing America with us 1 cut out and a time.👏Blessed Days my Beekeeping Brother in Jesus.😁
Hello, my name is James. I'm using my daughter's tablet. The best part for me is when you framing them and checking out their hives. We enjoy watching your channel. DIRT ROOSTER IS THE BEST
GREAT to see your dad!!!! Wow.....what a beautiful honey haul. That queen was doing a really nice job!! Hope this make a nice hive for you. Take care Randy!!
Thanks for the new vidja Randy. Awesome content. Lots of devastation up this way and South of here. Y'all deal with the effects of Hurricanes much more than we do, but our turn to share it with others this time. But, we are blessed and the community is rallying around for each other, just as it is supposed to be. God bless and hope all is well with you and your family. Love the photos and the stories they tell. John here, photographing the beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee..
To me it is beautiful and I love bee's and iwish I could raise them but my husband won't let me he's not a bee lover ,love your videos thank you, God's blessings and to you and family, thank yyou.❤
Hi! I love your channel for 2 reasons: 1. I love learning about bees 2. I'm a Biloxi girl living in East Texas and I miss home soooooo much! 😥 I love all of the videos and photos of home that you post. I miss the saltwater, the breeze off the Gulf and our yummy food! East Texas knows NOTHING about good food! Thanks for sharing all that you do! 😃 God bless and happy buzzing around!
The biggest honeybee colony I removed in St. Louis had 10 gallons of honey and had 14' of comb that was in a subfloor between the first and second floor. Impressive video! Thanks for sharing
Sidekick Pete must be slacking, you coulda used some help on that one! Those were some of the biggest combs of honey I've ever seen. Awesome colony! Hoping you got the queen in there
WOW HUGE COLONY That one is as big or larger then that log cabin cutout! They have been in there a while I'd say. 😁Way cool Randy thanks for sharing.👍 I built houses for to long to want to do cut-outs. Oh, I hate doing brick work on older buildings, old bricks can be so touchy after years.
Thanks for taking us along, Randy. What HUGE blocks of honey! Thats a honey of a hive. Made my mouth water! The close up of the queen cup was interesting, as were the mating hive beetles. Appreciate you showing and telling about the tallow trees. One of the things I like most about your channel is how much I've learned from you. Plus learning a new vocabulary word is always fun to me. "backstrap". Now i need to figure out how to slip that into a conversation, so I sound smarter than I really am😂
great video, i like watching you work, you’re a very experienced, battle tested bee keeper, and it shows! One of the things that drew me to your channel was the fact that you are going into to these bee removals absolutely raw. Man i would be flinching and swatting every which way! keep up the great way of life!
I really enjoy your videos. I have learned so much about bees and honey, I almost bought a nuc. Lol. On another note, the segments in your videos, the parts of Mississippi that you explore along the way, are simply a beautiful way to express what is great about America. Some places are rough and maybe the community is having a hard time, you still capture the essence of America, the promise that better times lie ahead. I love this country and I have a richer understanding of who we are. Thank you~
I don’t know if I missed you catching the queen or not have man it’s so great seeing you with your dad man please don’t take it for granted do it all you can because we are not promised tomorrow lost my dad in 2016 and lost my mom in 2022 always love your videos man keep them coming hope you have a blessed night
Wow what a hive! That made my mouth water just looking at it. I enjoyed the video thank you for sharing it ❤❤. It was good to see your daddy on here. He looked good.
this has been my first episode back in a long time, and I noticed something...Youre photography practice has paid off! You were just getting into taking photos and learning composition around when I stopped watching. But this vide has some very wellexecuted shots and transitions. Good Stuff.
I sometimes think we should have big clear display boxes and cut honey to fit, weigh and label right on the spot. "All natural wild" should make a primo sale price. Then, I wake up and chuck it in the bucket and keep vacin' bees...
the hardest part for the bees is getting the bee contractor out there with a bee engineer to determine the structural integrity of the comb so they can get their occupancy permit. And who knows how long that will take.
Haven't watched your channel in quite a while Dirtrooster, let me just say you are lookin GOOD!! Lost a ton of weight, keeping the beard better trimmed, you looking like a fine suth'rn gentl'mun! Keep it up! Great hive too, so soothing to see some of these, especially when they produce those wonderful bricks of honeycomb.
Great work, Ive been a fan for years. Your photography is getting incredible. I see and love street photography in your shots. Black and white for some reason says Pure Life. Please read about a nanny in Chicago named Vivian Mayer. I see a touch of her ideas in your work.
I think I've seen every documentary on Vivian that's been put out. She doesn't get the credit she deserves for the work of hers that's been made public.
It's a monsta! The more you learn about those crazy bugs, the more interesting they are! They do stink terribly when they die, especially if they are wet. I have never watched SHB reproduction videos before!
Wait! Did you find the queen? How many lbs of bees (minus what you gave away). Did you create more than one hive at home? I didn’t hear it how many total bees would you estimate was in that hive? Thank you! This was an incredible video!
Great video, such a gigantic beehive. You're doing a great job, your videos are always great. And your photos even more so. Thanks from East Germany, Brandenburg. If you have a few bees left over, send them to me, they can fly the few kilometers. ;)

Nice to see your dad was able to come supervise.
He loves that job
Those honey bricks were awesome. Bees are crazy sometimes in what they'll do. Great photos, as always ❤
Thanks again!
So glad the beetles were in such a loving mood so you could record it.....bwahahahah. I can't unsee that now.
That just made me hear Marvin Gaye singing Let's Get It On.

Have you started recording in higher quality? Looks sharp.
This was shot on Iphone 11
Your stills at end really show the changes in southern Mississippi since I was there in 61-62 at Keesler.
The biggest changes occurred after hurricane Camille in 69 and Katrina in 05. Completely different place.
Good Ness!
Yum Yum🎉.
Great job Randy 🌞.

Pretty rare to see them like this.
Wow! Very impressive, both in honey (talk about a brick!) and colony! 💛🐝
About as large as they come down herer.
Wow, so impressive, thank you!!

Honey Bees are such wonderful animals. I'm rather scared of the killer kind though.
They're sweethearts, just misunderstood. lol

Wow! Amazing cut of honey!
Steak house cuts.
