There is also another thread cutter on the TOP front of the machine directly behind the sideways spool of thread. I usually cut and remove my wound bobbin there.
@@lindaleeharper4254I just got my new DX7 and that happened to me first time winding a bobbin. I struggled to remove all the thread under it and then found the video on JukiJunkies how to push the bobbin winder gently up and off to easily access that area.

You have to remove the whole top plastic.

you can pop that disk off the bobbin winder to access it much easier
how do you “pop” that disk?
