Hey David That's the problem with the world. I never did any certifications for i never like to pay for exams. But I have fair knowledge of Salesforce. Because of them I grew arrogance in my heart that why do they get paid so so much more when clearly they don't know many things and I offer my experience in some matters and they never help me.
I clicked on the video thinking that I would find information on getting that latest Salesforce Certification Dumps. ...OK...I'm KIDDING! David, thank you for posting this video. I couldn't agree more. When people ask for certification dumps they lose all credibility in the ecosystem.
Dumps have been around since I got my first MCP certs in 2001(that I know of) As you pointed out though, using them will end badly! The only way is the right way 🤗
Appreciate the thoughts David! Question: if I get your first five core certifications that you recommend AND the Developer 1 cert, how competitive am I for a Dev job? What can I do to show my coding skills? I have an idea to make up a company for a world I’m building (I like to write science fiction, as a hobby so why not combine my hobby and training for SF) as an example but I’m not sure if that would turn off recruiters as being too “weird”. Your thoughts?
This may be too late but use the free developer version to develop test apps. Without experience, you need to prove that you can code. It doesn't matter if it's science fiction. I like sci-fi. I would think it's cool and a lot of other people would too.
That hit hard! In the industry, dumps are not just usual, they are often considered a smart move to maximize your personal sellability! But it really does cause imposter syndrome and all those repeat cheat loops.
Wonderful David. people listening to this video will not attempt to use dumps going forward. it will remind them of your talk and inspire them not to go for dumps !
Excellent video .. this goes not just for SF but pretty much everything in life. There are different ways to get to the mountain top. And the FALL from the top if something bad happens also depends on the way you went up.
Someone in my family works for a start-up CRM company and they currently have a contract with the government and the person handling the governments CRM has no idea what she's doing and she's about to get fired. I heard another story of someone pretending to be a salesforce architect, I heard it all, Live, as it was unfolding, it was UNREAL.. another story, Long ago I worked for the union, and I would carpool to work with a journeymen, a guy I got hired on with. Anyways, 3 days after being hired I had to leave early because our foremen tested him and he couldn't do what he said he could do. guy was crying on he way home.
As a point of reference I got few questions that my friends remembered and wrote down - simply, because they struggled with it. Those had no answers - yup, whats the point of cheating yourself? They all said "this is what you have to be prepared for. We say those are the hardest ones we had". I went to exam. Questions friends showed me seemed like a low-level when compared to about 25-30% of the questions I had on my exam. I failed. They all said something has changed. They were 100% sure Im ready for it and I will not only pass but I will pass with a high score.
I have only admin cert and after losing my contract due to COVID-19,, my competition for the same job has jumped because everyone working remotely. SO not only I apply to jobs full time, I also have to study and pay for exams and try to get more certifications, just to prove my worth. It is not fair, but as you said, having certs in SF is still important but it is and can be a painful process. The stress alone has made me fail more exams than I can count lol.
To be honest, I tried one. One of the questions asked what was the most efficient code my answer was wrong and the "correct" answer was one where a SOQL was used inside a for loop lmao I turned that shit off immediately and never used one again.
That's right , I have 3.5 years of experience . But still I have only one certification . Because I want to learn and give the exam myself . But the bummer is why there are so many certifications at first place ?
True I was in India working for 6 years in Salesforce had 1 certification, was valued for my work, but when I moved out of India it looks like certifications is everything, if you don’t have 8-10 certifications you are not good enough, your work on project doesn’t matter. Will right wasn’t me either I studied for months to go in and fail.. I also had the wrong mind set. When I heard all you needed was a 65% to pass... I laughed 🤣 and was like I can do that in my sleep.
Joshua M. Anderson Absolutely. Sometimes I feel like I am not the smartest person in the room, but I never give up. I admire you for sticking with it and getting it done. Good job!
I have a medical field background; I don’t have a clue about the IT field. I’m slowly trying to get into SF. Is there any way to make it fun? Maybe because I don’t have an interest in this computer field but I’m trying hard to study SF through trailhead. It could be the studying part that’s boring; I’m hoping the actual SF jobs are fun.
I would like to do something else but I'm not in the position to completely change financially. The beginning subjects are boring. You have to just get through them because they're your foundation. I like the analytics/dashboards, designing custom pages, customization in general and flows. I learned on the job working with 2 custom orgs and 1 standard org so the basic day to day stuff is boring.
I damn near killed myself doing the admin cert In 5 weeks, which is crazy to even think of. Now, just to see that some losers are taking the easy way..... that’s why I landed a job right after and these same people are still lookin. For work. What’s the point of doing something if you can speak to that skill set to an employer?
Nowadays people have more number of Certifications(almost double) than the number of years of experience on the platform. When you're actively working throughout the year on client projects I don't see that happening but then everyone is doing it, and I wonder how 🤣
Hi David, I need your advice on my salesforce admin cert. I am going to attent my first attempt on 1st week of Sep... I am so nervous and I feel I am forgetting the concepts. Please advice the best methods to pass certification .
Sir David, here in software companies people are getting reimbursement for the certification fees. Also they buy dumps n pass in the exams. I m still struggling n gave up 😣
WELL THIS VIDEO IS PRETTY DEMOTIVATING AS WE ALL LOOK UP TO U DAVID MOREOVER IF HR OF ANY COMPANIES ARE SEEING THIS VIDEO THEY WILL SURELY DOUBT THE CERTIFICATIONS ACHIEVED BY DIFFERENT ASPIRANTS. UNNECESSARY INNOCENTS OR HONEST PPL WILL COME UNDER RADAR OR UNNECESSARY SCRUTINISING.
Just had a few people become salesforce system and app architects without so much as experience in coding, or workflows/process builders/sharing rules /no basics of software development and design...so much for certifications
My first question is are practice test like from focusonforce a salesforce dump? I am a salesforce ranger and have been working salesforce for the past 6 years however I haven't got a Cert. what is the best way to study? I have done the Admin trail and taken the test and failed.
The Focus of Force team works really hard to provide links to official documentation and other official sources to help you better understand why one answer is better than the other. They help you study on your own and truly understand the material. Stick with it.
Very sensitive and very important topic. Great advice. Still no intro to your videos David??? No Music, no animation, no nothing. Stop serving us raw cheeseburger without ketchup, fries or drink... ;-)
I wish I had not seen this video. I was unfamiliar to this certification dump term. But it's damn addictive (Something's gonna give you free certificate). Well it's really hard to be honest n follow the hard path specially when you know the easy path.
Hi David.. I heard if anyone pass an exam with help of dumps, his or her certification will get cancelled? Salesforce is tracking buying a dumps closely. Is this true or a rumour? Please answer. Thanks.
How do people manage to clear 2 certifications on same day, How do they make sure to get 18-20 certification in a years times being on a full time project, it affects those who take months to prepare, these people are preferred for promotion whereas those who do their project work and don’t manage to get so many certifications in less time are considered average. Either you just toss your personal life or just don’t expect any appreciation for your actual work for which you are hired.
Great motivational video. ..read somewhere that Microsoft will beat out salesforce in about 3 years ..is this possible?..would love to hear your take on this...thanks!
Salesforce certification is just a business. They want the maximum people to buy the exam and if it were harder less people would buy it, because why take the risk to lose 200€ in an exam? The exams at the end are useless and doesn't prove anything. Its like the car drive license exams, you can be a really good driver and fail, or you can be a novel driver that pass the exam and has an accident the first day you take the car. Solutions, have much less exams but harder. 60% of the note with a practical exercise and 40% of the note with theory.
Do you recommend taking the practice test that are available in some of the sites after doing the trailhead nodules?? It has happened in the past that doing the practice test helps my weakness in certain areas and focus on it.. I am planning to take other certifications wat do you recommend me..
Post on Facebook saying you need help and you will be inundated with offers for a proxy to take the test for you. As long as companies will hire cut and paste so called developers and offshore staff, I hardly think dumps are even worth worrying about. Have you ever looked at them? The answers are so horrendously wrong, I'd be surprised if anyone using them actually passes. Now, don't even get me started with all of the engineers(like.. mechanical, architects, civil, chemical, petroleum) who are out there working with some bogus 3rd world credentials from a degree mill in India or Africa.
I hate certifications (note haven't done salesforce ones but have done other ones). I'd use dumps everytime i need a cert. To me certifications don't prove very much, are over priced and aren't a good system in the first place. Someone can pass certs and know be any good at what the cert certifys and its not unlikely for someone with years of experience on the platform to fail to get the cert. To me that means that certs aren't very useful and the only reason to get them is to show recruiters.
SF certification dumps devalue the struggles of all the people who actually learn the material properly and pass. Great video!

Can you suggest study ways setp by step to prepare properly for certification.
Thanks as I am a beginner.
When you're actively working throughout the year on client projects I don't see that happening but then everyone is doing it, and I wonder how 🤣
@@dvdkliu possible, yes. You got my point though.
True..at times it scares me off...as I am taking my time in understanding the platform...
Hi David, I need your advice on my salesforce admin cert. I am going to attent my first attempt on 1st week of Sep... I am so nervous and I feel I am forgetting the concepts. Please advice the best methods to pass certification .
Even I didn't know about dump.
@@dvdkliu thanks, I am a member of pluralsight and have done a number of your courses there also.
Stop serving us raw cheeseburger without ketchup, fries or drink... ;-)
@@dvdkliu Great!
It helps you prepare but you should not just memorize the answers, you need to know why it is the answer.
I wish I had not seen this video. I was unfamiliar to this certification dump term. But it's damn addictive (Something's gonna give you free certificate). Well it's really hard to be honest n follow the hard path specially when you know the easy path.
Let's see if you become the hero or the villain!
@@dvdkliu Well I have seen a lot of anime & therefore I believe in hard path of sucess.(Theres no fun if you win a game without barriers )
What's your favorite anime who you trying to emulate lol. For me it was Rurouni Kenshin
@@dvdkliuI have also seen rurouni kenshin but my favourite is Naruto and alchemist
Naruto is a good one too I am watching a little now
Hi David.. I heard if anyone pass an exam with help of dumps, his or her certification will get cancelled? Salesforce is tracking buying a dumps closely. Is this true or a rumour? Please answer. Thanks.
@@dvdkliu I heard from someone. I was not sure. That's why I thought to ask you. Thank you for replying.
That pokemon go shirt though
Great Advice.
interesting take, Didn't imagine you going down that path.
100% Truth!
This pisses me off. There is a huge amount of certification bloat in SF right now.
This is true, not sure how Salesforce is gonna solve this one
Great motivational video. ..read somewhere that Microsoft will beat out salesforce in about 3 years ..is this possible?..would love to hear your take on this...thanks!
How does David know about this if he’s never searched for them? 🤔
Love the shirt
You have to taste sour before you taste sweet.
Team Mystic???? :o
Men in bikinis 😂 good video David
WORD!
