He is young, he will get the experience. But besides that, he is skilled, and obviously practices a lot. Metal is out of his comfor zone for sure, but he played this very successfully. Have you noticed kick drum going off the beat few times, or it supposed to be like that?
Yeah his foot work was just a little sloppy but I think it’s just because he’s not used to playing all the time and as we all know double bass is a whole monster in itself.
Don’t get me wrong, i was surprised he’s as good as he is cuz I think it’s the first time I’ve seen him on double bass. He’s a HELL of a lot better than I am at it and I have always used a double pedal 😅😅😅
His regular double bass is pretty clean. It's just a song, you can't get the rhythmical part because guitars are playing very very abruptly and not accenting the note changing. I'm sorry for the bad explanation, English is just not my first language. Hope you understand everything
@@TheGhostNotePodcast If you haven't run across them yet, he's got some videos up from several shows he's done. I was up way too late last night when I found this out watching them. Dude has some amazing talent.
Though I liked his interpretation, his double bass doesn't work in this song as well. The original is more controlled and ambient, II is on a completely different level.
@@TheGhostNotePodcast Oh most definitely, and it was the original drumeo video that got me into Sleep Token in the first place. But I have since become a huge fan of II's drumming. But Greyson is an absolute gem of a drummer himself, his jazz drumming is unparalleled.
He gave too much energy into the song, haven't heard the song either but feels like it should sound more mysterious than energetic Probably the Jungle beat would fit well for like 2/3 of this song, sort of like Megadeth - Trust intro 🤔
I think he honestly did pretty good. Especially since the kit he was given is like 1/4 the size of 2’s kit😂
dude is total machine next gen prodigy

@@TheGhostNotePodcast Now Greyson's the drummer for Sepultura
Great S**t! Love It!!!
🎉🎉 thank you!!
he has been playing with suicidal tendencies for some time now
As a naturally sweaty man, i can sympathize with this man being a sweaty MF lmao

Hey it was alright for his first try. I’m sure if he heard the song more he would do it justice. Still for a first time listen that was a good job

Hey calling it “mysterious” is the perfect way to describe it and yeah he was cranked up to 8 when he should have dialed it back to a chill 4 lol
II is a lot more efficient in his movements than Greyson. Greyson is so powerful!
absolutely killed it. sounds better than the real one version lol
Think you're better than greyson playing drums 2 years 😅
Not gonna lie. This kid's version is legit better than the original.
