  • A review along with a few thoughts I had regarding the Selle SMP Nymber Saddle
A few more thoughts regarding the saddle I didn't cover:
If you're looking for something light, look elsewhere. This thing is 285g according to the website, I believe mine was a touch lighter in weight.
Styling is a tad on the love or hate it side, so make sure you do a lot of research before buying. Look at other videos

Hey, Nimbus. Thanks for the review and the nice close-ups of the saddle! I wasn't sure what size of Specialized Power Arc you have or what width your sit bones are, but if the Nymber is still a little wide, you may want to try the original SMP Composite, which is for narrower pelvises but no padding (they have some other narrow more padded models, too). Otherwise, if this width is good for you, and you just want more padding, you will want to go to a different series, as they don't make a more padded in this shape (the Vulkor actually has no padding at all). You could go up to the Drakon (intermediate padding) in the Forma series, or even the Lite 209 (thick padding). The SMP site has a nice saddle finder to narrow things down, too. Also, Steve Hogg and Colby Pearce have loads of good reading on SMP saddles on their sites.

I’ll definitely check those out, thanks for the input. Currently testing out a bontrager verse saddle and surprisingly though it’s flatter I’ve had less discomfort (at least in shorter rides) than most of the saddles I’ve tried. The power arc pro elaston was 143. I do definitely want to try a narrow saddle out for sure, but gotta find a local shop that demos their saddles. Drakon sounds enticing as the nymber was great, just a touch hard.

The Vulkor has no padding , just a leather cover over the hard base. FYI 😊

I've removed mine from my bike, I gave it about 200km and personally it's the most uncomfortable saddle I've come across even after loads of adjustment forward/aft up down, no not for me.

Your saddle might be too high.

The Vulkor is the non-padded version of this.

Man you must have buns of steel if you’re running of those 🤣

The TRK model has thick padding and is cheaper too

That’s something to be considered, I’m in a weight weenie phase so I’ll probably drop a review on something once it comes back into stock…
