Drama Story: Gu Yun Zheng, an associate professor of neurosurgery, encounters Su Wei An, a "dropout" who left her medical profession behind to pursue a career in commerce, while on a medical relief trip in the (fictitious) North African country of Lakaya. He gradually learns that her strange behavior and resistance to his approaches are caused by the gene for Huntington's disease, an incurable illness that leaves her despondent. They go from always arguing to falling in love. He makes the decision to abandon his bright future in order to focus all of his energy on finding a treatment for Huntington's disease, working with his partner to bring light into the shadows.
