I always used to think the future cannot be predicted even with tarot as it can only predict one of the many possible paths and subject to free will of an individual that no powers can force only influence at best.
However in this reading it occurred to me, by being informed of even one of the future paths should it occur, the knowledge or awareness of it can influence one's action and their response.
However the most important takeaway from this reading is one of surrender and seeing the truth of the current situation for what it is warts and all.
