What an underrated race! I found out about this race only 7 years ago randomly while looking for other cycling streams. Looks like it's gaining popularity with riders like Gilbert showing up and also getting UCI ProSeries status this year. It's old school road racing at its best- raw, undulating terrain with cobbles, mud and gravel, and crazy ever-changing weather conditions not limited to but certainly characteristic of Brittany. Love this race. Thanks for the upload.
It's a rising race actually. It's a brand new race like Strade Bianche. If it's underrated, it's normal because it does not exist since long. As far as I know it's getting more and more popular partly due to the gravel trend. Regarding weather, this is right. Brittany has a very oceanic weather constantly changing like in Irland or Uk.
@@lambertlambert7076 It's a new race compared to old classics, such as Paris-Tour or Liege-Bastogne-Liege, but it's almost 40 years old now (38 precisely). It's not exactly a "brand new" race like Strade Bianche, which is 15 years old. It's a rising race for sure though, as it was a non professional race until 1999, but still it's not because it was not well known that it's a "brand new race" :)
Lambert Lambert 🤩 Its not that new a race like Stade Bianche (start 2007) Tro-Bro Leon startet 1984 only for not Profis & in 2000 the Profis took over..!! 😉 🚴🏼🚴🏾♂️🚴🏽♀️🚵♂️🚵♀️🚵 A Wonderful cycling Year 2022 to All of us all over❣️❣️🌻
At 1:07 the dialog is about cobbles gone home with idiots. The Belgian climbs have government repairs. There is a group of volunteers that allow Paris Roubaix to be run every year. Le Amis de Paris Roubaix, relies on donations and the labor of local youth to make it possible for the most beautiful race to continue. Please for gods sake next time round, promote the preservation of the cobbles, not talk about the idiotic theft of the stones. Course markers, AFTER the race are far less offensive, and help with the clean up..
