Savinder Puri Thanks for sharing insights. I saw people go after heavy tools in DevOps and Cloud and forget to learn the fundamentals. As you said in your video I advice everyone to do the fundamental as that's the starting point . Since I was learning basics from the beginning of my career by learning Unix Linux, Writing shell scripting, learning networking basic apart from my regular night job. I choose DevOps and Cloud. So actually if your basics are strong you can learn any tool in DevOps. One more thing practice is very important, Identify your end to end use case and build it and publish it in public.
Agree with you sir, Aapane jo kaha sahi hai. I have 6+ years in DevOps. It's really one of the hard jobs and cracking interviews is not easy. Thank you so much for your guidance, sir.
By far, one of the best videos. I'm transitioning careers From non IT background n initially everyone said DEVOPS is very easy, coding not required. I did a course n it was just horrible. We basically learnt nothing. I spent hours on youtube trying to learn. I spent my time feeling frustrated, anxious, depressed n cried. I hired someone to privately teach me n he knew nothing even though he said he was sr dev ops engineer. I lost hope again n felt useless. like as if im dumb n can't pick up the programming skills. I wanted to move to a technical role more for job security. One thing I can say the courses advertised are just 3 months n very basic. You have to put in blood n sweat trying to troubleshoot without anyone to help you. I'm depressed now n wondering what to do next. 😢

that was a great video. thank you. And please make an video what you learn't about AI working. how chatgpts are working. to what extent we should use it. How should we embrace it. where we should avoid it. thank you again for such a great contribution to minds
@savinderpuri Aap ne jo kaha tha LinkedIn par weekly post, GitHub, HashNode, etc. was grt idea. First of all I didn't know any college how it looks like from the inside. Meaning I am a primary school, 6th standard student. I quit my studies in 80's for financial reasons. Now I'm 43 years old. I have no Degree no certificate, nor do I have any diploma. Aap jese logon se prerna lekar aur Google, TH-cam ChatGPT, Social Media k madhiyam se is hadd tak pahoncha ki mai kuch bansakta hun aur mai banna chahta hun. Mere sapna cloud engineer hai. Jis k liye sab se pehle maine high speed typing seekha. Aur ab Linux seekh raha hun. Support me (not financial) encourage me n pray for me.
@savinderpuri Information is more important than either focusing on robotic voice. However, we can not cover everything in one video. Guidelines for practical experience or examples cover in another video. The objective of these videos is that people should know what AI can do or people can do so that they are not scared of AI or job loss.
Thank you sir. That was a great road map for beginners i am also 12th passout and start with my college next month. But i wanted ask whether getting involved in open source programs like gsoc and interacting with communities act like a cherry on the cake.?

Sat Sri Akal Sanjeev ji. To me, age us just a number. It's the will that matters. I've seen "dead" youngsters at 23 and i've seen some of the most alive people at 43! I've just one question - why DevOps? My "standard advice" for experienced folks is that you got to do something that leverages your experience. Else, it's all going waste and you'll complete with youngsters, which is tough! Sir your every words is gem of gold but I just started development in JS 😅... Future mei kxch saal bd wed dev expert ban ke ML seekhna chahta hu...
Mein yah sab es soach ko le ke kr rha hu ki bd mei apana koie SAAS products launch krdu Insh'ALLAH
Any guidance sir jee???
Web Dev se ML ka raasta bahut lamba hai bhai!
Then, SaaS product is something totally different.
If you've just started out - do the best that you can.
The rest you can figure out as you go along
First time i felt that on youtube, that someone giving me back support like a mamu sitting beside ❤
Most Welcome
Still career spelling is wrong
maybe, it's the wrong career :-)
thanks of your valuable insights you are not like other youtube influencers who is just creating hype for getting views if possible make a video on how much deveops knowledge is neeeded for a data science guy it really needed because sir
Thanks buddy, appreciate it.
If you're focused on Data science/engineering - then you're mostly a user of DevOps. Just enough knowledge on how to use the tools in your ecosystem should be good enough.
@@savinderpuri sir always happy to appreciate deserving people like you my pleasure
Iam very glad that i came across this video it completely changed my mindset whether i should continue my devops course or not thank uh paaji❤
thanks - what did you like best?
Did you apply something - what's the result?

Hi Sir
Can you please make a video on Cloud Engg vs DevOps Eng vs SRE vs Platform Engineer vs Infrastructure Engineer?
All the skills for these roles are 90% the same.
and which is the best career path for someone who can't code/script(Cannot learn Coding/scripting or Hate Coding/scripting)
If you HATE coding/scripting - then my friend, DevOps is not the career for you.
I'm sorry, but that's the honest truth.
Here's a video that compares SRE vs DevOps vs Platform Engineering: th-cam.com/video/sLBHYTrHscM/w-d-xo.html
I don't know how to run laptop bt i want carrer in like devops kureters and Ai how should I start and from which program

Hi Sir I see mostly 60 or 70 + devops podcasts or devops roadmap videos . But i never see that type of guidance ! Thanking to you to give this information with us and share your whole exp in Devops ! I am greatful for your advice ! That time i am a fresher gave several interviews on Devops Or SRE or CLoud ENgineer . but i am rejected ! form last 6 months ! But abh kuch ja k achi guidance mili hai ! i am greatful for your help !
Thanks buddy, that's a big complement.
If you're constantly getting rejected, then there's something that needs to be done differently - either in the resume, or your interviews or something else.
YOu can book my time at topmate.io/savinder_puri and lets discuss.
You are great sir❤the way you described the things with example that is really appreciated.
Thanks a ton
that was a great video. thank you.
And please make an video what you learn't about AI working. how chatgpts are working. to what extent we should use it. How should we embrace it. where we should avoid it.
thank you again for such a great contribution to minds
check out this one - almost what you're asking for!

Sir i make a humble request to you to make a course on devops according to the industry needs it will be very helpful for the beginners like me..
I'm not into selling courses at this point. There are several others who are doing good courses..
Sir aap ki kuch baatein dil ko chuu gayi aur maine paper par note bhi karliya. Thank you very much
ah man... kaunsi? I'm curious now :-)
@savinderpuri Aap ne jo kaha tha LinkedIn par weekly post, GitHub, HashNode, etc. was grt idea.
All points are fantastic and noted but why there is Aman dhattarwal in hashtags section😢
What!! The team must be trying some outreach tricks - let me check! Good eye
DevOps Engineer Job Role & AI Contribution: th-cam.com/video/InWWkHWSpIE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ORR_nV1iV6ZZ28oc
@zeeshansaud9535 - Seemed like a very "gyan video", lacking practical experience. Just had a quick glance. And that robotic voice really put me off!
@savinderpuri Information is more important than either focusing on robotic voice. However, we can not cover everything in one video. Guidelines for practical experience or examples cover in another video. The objective of these videos is that people should know what AI can do or people can do so that they are not scared of AI or job loss.
I find this video guideline for learning DevOps is unique and excellent indeed !!
thanks buddy! Please share in your network as well
Thanx sir I wrote all of your points an unknown student from karachi Pakistan ❤
Most welcome and All the best , Champ !
Thank you Sir Thank you So Much. You showed us proper path every word in your word in the video is awesome. Thank you so much.🙏🙏🙏
So nice of you
Thank you Sir for a brilliant guidelines ...
You are most welcome
Thank you sir. That was a great road map for beginners i am also 12th passout and start with my college next month. But i wanted ask whether getting involved in open source programs like gsoc and interacting with communities act like a cherry on the cake.?
it does, however make sure your contributions are of quality. Just making open source contributions for the sake of it will not help.
@@savinderpuri sure sir thank you
loved ur knowledge and simplicity of the video. great content. love it. u earned my subscribe.
Awesome, thank you!
Keep away for noise is very difficult task and also making good friend difficult
Yes, all good things are difficult!
Sir I am a 2nd year CSE student who has an ambition to enter into the top-notch position in DevOps field and I found my right mentor and that is you sir and I have a doubt.. straightforwardly saying can I pursue Devops with webdev ( it means that I want to deploy my own projects as application projects ).
Yes, why not?
It’s a good combination that gives you an edge over regular web devs.
However, be an awesome web dev first, before you start exploring.
i think this one is the best vedio for starting a journey with devOps
thank you. Please share it with your network.

Sir, I have 9 years of experience as a support engineer in a product-based company. I am now considering a move to DevOps. How should I proceed, and is this a good decision?
of course, go for it! Make projects, not just theory learning!
This is what I was searching for. Thanks a lot sir. Motivation at peaks 🙏

Could you please make a video for 'Time management'. I'm sure it will be more helpful in DevOps career for a fresher or advance.

Love you sir Thank you for spreading light, I am really greatful for you ❤❤❤🙏
thanks buddy, just doing my 2 cents
bha ji thanks a lot for the shared inputs. appreciate. Im 45, with Java/Oracle background which I did in early 2000, but with no development experience, learnt devops tools 2yrs back but couldn't get any job because I didnt have any relevant experience. i want a comeback, can I do the same at this age, what pathway should I use? kindly guide, Sat Sri Aakal
As far as the transition goes, have a look at this video, it'll help clear out some things: th-cam.com/video/i3bs7sM07Sc/w-d-xo.html
Thankyou so much sir I have got clear path for it.
You are most welcome

Yes, I'll pass on the complements to editing team!!
Subtitles add-on is helpful.
Thanks, took us a lot of research to get a good tool to do it.
sir I am currently working on Python... Since I am new to programming I cannot work on programming language such as Java, .NET or C++. I want to concentrate on Python... Is it mandatory to have knowledge on Java, .NET or C++? Can't I move into devops without having knowledge on programming language? Thank you:)
without knowing how a program language works, how will you fix errors when the build breaks?
that's like saying I want to be in an orchestra but I do not like playing any instrument
@@savinderpuri Thank you for replying sir. If I learn only Python not other language, will that be okay?
Sir , I am a fresher how can i make connections through LinkedIn.. please give me guidance

Do some google, you'll understand.

Namaste Sir, I am learning Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) in the morning and DevOps tools in the evening. Will learning both help me get a remote job before Graduation(I am in 3rd year of B.Tech), or should I focus on just one area?
1. Get a job
2. Get a good job
3. Get a remote job
@@savinderpuri Thank you for your suggestions, sir. I'll work on getting a job, then a good job, and eventually a remote job. I'll keep you updated on my progress.
Sir , i am in my 2nd year of BCA can i start fullstack java devlopment is it still relevant. In 2024
This video answers your question: th-cam.com/video/VuRZVevLAXc/w-d-xo.html
